Denmark has been producing many pairs of strong XD's, it's not that easy to come to surface.

They were only paired up last year after Thomas Laybourn retired and Houmann's partner was switched to play with Kamilla Juhl (Mads Kolding). With Kolding she reached the final of the European Championship last year but I don't think they played together for that long either (well not too bad, almost 2 years).
Kristiansen has always been around for the last years but mainly as a MD player in the backup pairs (maybe to play the experienced player to the new young guys).
Houmann has only been in the national team setup for the last few years I think, maybe because so many retired (Helle Nielsen, Lena Frier, ...). 2011 shows a big increase in tournaments played ...

But they are both younger than Fischer Nielsen so maybe their time has come to go for it :D.

As for young player to watch in doubles department, probably Anders Skaarup is one to keep an eye on but you could say they have a lack of experienced women to form a pair with at the moment ...

Yeah this commentator was a joke. I seriously had to stop watching the WD final because I couldn't stand him. I felt bad for the other commentator. Their chemistry was embarrassing. Remember the time he let out a huge scream of exaltation after a point? His co-commentator probably jumped high in his chair because he said sorry many times afterwards. It's not an action movie and you're not in the cimena, it's a badminton match and you're there to commentate.

What makes you think there would be an "r" in the end? :crying: In case you missed it, multiple germans had already responded before you.

WYH had an easy win over JS beating her 21-14, 21-13 in 34 minutes and she has to be a serious contender for the 2013 AE WS title next week.

Chen Long distracted lots of attentions from the WD match when he went back to the players' seats. There was a big crowd of people asking him for autographs and pictures.

Tommy Sugiarto has to be working really really hard if he want to beat elite MS ( LD, LCW, CL )

I know he has the potential

Here comes the fractured racket from the awesome smash:p:cool:

The rally still continued after Chai Biao broke his racket. He was trying to retrieve a new racket from his bag but then they lost the rally before he ran back to court.

Yes, my apologies. I did indeed miss all the responses when I rushed to reply. Only read them about an hour later. It's difficult trying to follow all the matches of the World Baseball Classic, the German Open and read all these posts at the same time. It's going to be crazy next week, with many matches of the All England being telecast live.

The "ner" was for the equivalent English syllable like in "dinner", as I don't think there is one ending with "ne". The German syllables ending in "er" is more confusing as "woher" is not pronounced in the same way as "besser". Anyway, it's still a lot simpler than trying to imitate pronouncing words of the nasal languages or some Asian ones. The online translators are really useful for hearing names pronounced in their native languages. I have tried a few in Ukrainian and Hungarian, lol.
