well I did order an APACS after all but not the es10, got the furious 1000/2000 wich i hope performs well since it cost 161 for the racket and shipment to sweden wich is about the higher end yonex rackets cost at my local shop. Decided on this since ive never seen or used apacs and it apears to have some new technology so hopefully its not a ripoff (even if they do great or better then the original ripoffs). Im tired of medium clubplayer rackets since I dont consider myself medium, played in competitions in my teens and stopped when i was 16 and started again now when im 23 so just to get back to it i used the metallix 2000 for singles and the wilson ncode n3 for doubles and singles sometimes when i needed the control. Now that im up to speed again i might aswell spend some on a decent racket since ill probably use it for a while. Total crap at reviews since i dont have that many rackets (unless you want older reviews like the yonex axis 70 ) but if any one is interested i can tell you how it plays for me atleast.
Thanks DinkAlot for the very good review of all these rackets. With this review, purchasing new rackets won't be so hard on the brain anymore
hi dinkalot .. i know u are bz with moving and all but could u just gimme a quick one on APACS AMP90/95 vs YY Ti-10 ?? i am currently using AMP90 .. thinking of getting a AMP95 coz i cannot generate enuff power and oso create sharper "dipping' shots .. with AMP90 alot of my shots go flat and straight .. AMP90 oso gave me the feeling of "not solid" enuff when in contact with shuttle previously i was using YY cab21sp .. changed to APACS AMP90 coz wanted a bigger sweet spot due to ISO .. didnt choose YY at 1st coz of price and wanted to try some other brands .. all this while i was using YY rackets (have the old cab8 & cab880tour currently as well) .. play doubles most of the time with hard hitting and fast exchanges thanks
sorry if this question has been answered before, but i don't know much about APACS rackets in terms of their similarities to the Yonex rackets, so i was wondering what would be the APACS racket equivalent (or closest to) to the Armortec 900-Power?
Yes and the Nano 900 Power (white) is the clone of the 900T. I also heard that the Nanotec900 is out or something? Can someone please clarify because i can't find it on google O__O
cab30 to AMP95? Well I just took the plunge and ordered an AMP95 from the APACS Canada site... After trying several rackets I've settled on the cab30 as my go to racket. Do these 2 rackets compare? I was going to get a woven 7 since someone just got me one in a G3 grip size but I got used to the G4 size using the cab30 so i went ahead and ordered the AMP95. Took me about a dozen rackets to find the "one" and now here we go again! Bolts
DinkAlot have you tried out the furious model ...... i am interested in the pro 1000/2000. i just wonder how does it feel .... currently i am using AMP 95 VH1800 ....
Nanotec 900 actually is the Nano 900 Power.....Nanotec is singapore market and Nano 900 Power is mostly all the other country market's name =)....both are the same thing
Dinkalot do you now prefer the nano power 9900 over AMP95? What is your comparison between these 2 rackets?
Depends. The NP9900 hits harder but the AMP95 transitions better. Against faster, advanced players who can control the game, I'd opt for the Lethal 50 or Tantrum 200 or AMP95. If my partner can control the game, then I'll go for the 9900. This weekend was a prime example, was playing a match against Coach Don and he was just too fast, he controlled the game, kept the shuttle low and I could not transition fast enough, I was hitting everything behind me with the 9900. After 10 or so points, I switched to the L50 and though (of course) I still couldn't control the game, I could catch up to the shuttle and hit everything in front and eventually attacked Coach Don's student and managed to win. It was a huge difference. So, to sum up, if you want an all out smash racket, gram for gram on par with the Woven 11, the NP9900 is your ticket at the expense of mobility (like any other racket). If you want more balance, try the T200, then L50 (a bit heavier in swing weight than the T200), then AMP95 (a bit heavier than the L50). The T200 and L50 are very strong frames, I just strung an L50 at 32lbs. ECP. It's holding up fine.
