It's a toughie, I like them both, but i judge mine on which racket is easiest to use and i'd say the 900 technique is easier to use out of the 2.
ohh,, thanks! but i want the combination of POWER!!and control . so, is it armortec 700? or armortec 900 technique?
if you want more control, but still good power, it has to be the technique. On paper, the technique has the best of both worlds. While it isn't the most powerful, it is still powerful. Just go with a 3U version. The added weight will assist in generating more power, while defense should still be good enough.
None of them.. YOU have the power, and YOU have the control !! The best of them is the one that transfer most of YOUR power, and control to the shuttle!!! /T
"very true, but a suitable racquet makes that transfer a little bit easier." Of course, and we are suggesting the 900T. If you have the money, go for a 900T then a at700. Why not have 2 rackets, 900T for doubles and 700 for singles. But if i were to choose one, it'll be the 900T, purely because of the balance. Don't be fooled to think that the 700 has a lot more power than the technique therefore the technique is a weak racket. It's not, the 900T can smash hard (if you are really strong - then you can smash harder). But for those who seek ultimate smashing pleasure, the at700 is probably the way to go, but with this racket you'll haver to sacrifice some control. Now with this, its similar to the technique, the control will still be there (referring to the racket), but with your skill, you can bring it up to par with the 900T. The racket is there as a tool. It gives you different levels of control and power etc. Your skill and strength as a player is what makes the reacket better. If you are a player of finesse and control, a racket like the 700, whose basic spec is that control is ok, would be soo much better (control that is) when used by you because of your skill alone. Example - look at pro's Lin Dan, Peter Gade whom both use and love the at700. On paper its all about power with slightly less control. But, they can control it justb as well as any other racket on the market, even rackets that are targeted more towards control. Look at Taufik, he has the hardest smash in singles. I'm sure he can hit just as fast with a 900 technique than an at700. Anyway, if you are an average/ intermediate player, which racket you get does not really matter because you want notice too much change in performance levels. If you are a good player, get the racket that is more suited to your style. Your skills alone should more than compensate for the "lack of" in the racket.
Hey....ok la... im kinda low budget...but may i know how much is at700 and at 900??? I thought AT900 got 2 type right??? Power and technique....
Yeah. I was referring to the technique in my previous post. Price rnages from different models. You get JP coded, SP coded etc, and they all have an influence on price. You get different prices from different shops from different countries. The at700 will be slightly cheaper than the 900 series. Both the 9000P and 900T cost the same. Not sure about Asia where most people buy, but in the UK, a brand new , made in japan Uk coded at900P/T will cost £120, while the 700 will be around £100.
slicedbanana!! lotsa thanks!! i want to smash, so what racket? i use armortec 900 power and the shaft is kinda extra stiff so i want just like the power of armortec 900 power but the shaft is a little bit less stiffer.
