what are the ranges of bp that allows you to actually feel a difference in the racket!?

For me, somewhat an intermediate who can certainly hit and return a hit :), i could discern between a 300bp (a900P and a900T), and a 286bp (T2). But a 280bp (apacs ns9900) and 284bp (apacs ns9000) swing like the T2 while the 294bp Tantrum200 swings like the 900T. So i guess i am not that 'sensitively professional' yet...

though i still like the idea of determining and tweaking my racket to a range of preferred bp...:), and still learning how to define my meaning of "preferred"

I'm not good at all, barely D-level IMO, but an extra half gram at the head definitely changed the T2, which is why I reduced it to a quarter of a gram, and while that still did change the bp to me, it wasn't enough to bother me in a game.

It depends on the player really. The HPS is not supposed to be that different compared to the T2 except I feel a huge difference between them despite same bp and swing weight. My point is, some players may be naturally more "attuned" than others.

Just got my new T2 from Dinkalot (many a million thanks Dan for the nice packaging!:))!

Placed it side by side with the old one, and it is confirmed! I like the new look better! but who cares about looks anyway right?

Nevertheless, i thought i just post here a quickie regarding how the swing of the new T2 felt a tiny winy puny tad slower than my old T2. Really tiny winy puny tad slower, but definitively discernible, and yet the specs are only tiny winy puny tad higher at 86g/289bp compared to the old 285/286bp. Don't think it will affect anything, but to the specs conscious (me) and to the specs-cum-performance paranoid (me), i can certainly feel the slight difference...

But ANY OLD WAY, the paint looks good! the racket feels nice! All those wonderfully packed shebangs! :) can't wait till ~2 weeks later to try it out on court...ankle right now just refused to heal faster..............

Took the new T2 out for a spin today. New paint job is much more vibrant from across the hall. Felt almost the same, the new one was the teensy-est bit quicker. Then I double checked the specs and it was .1g lighter. Maybe it's all in my head. Overall performance is just as amazing as ever. I like how the new paint job is improved on the sides of the frame where the strings pass, but I preferred the more understated shade of red. But my opinion doesn't matter much, Sir Dan is the one who should like it.

Update: improper stringing and/or incorrect string pattern voids warranty.

We've had a significant number of warranty claims in the past few months. We have honored every claim even though we did not physically receive the racket back for inspection. Panda believes most of these damaged rackets are due to improper stringing and/or an improper string pattern as shown in the attached image below.

Panda has throughly tested the rackets at their limits and has had some of the strongest, hardest hitters and extreme racket breakers torture test the rackets. In fact, to date, strung at 30-35lbs ECP, from all the testers, not one Panda Power racket has broken from a mishit or at the shaft. The only damage were two U2s broken at the handle by Panda.

Because of this, we need to update the warranty claim. If there is a claim:

    1) Need to return the racket back to the distributor where the racket was purchased.

    2) Distributor will contact Panda and go from there

    3) The Warranty will be automatically void if:
    a) You cut and remove the string or alter the racket in any way.
    b) If the string pattern is radical or not proper
    c) Clashing and/or abuse of the racket is found/determined

Thank you for your continued patronage and consideration. :)

Best regards and grace be with you,
    Daniel Chien

What is the proper stringing method then? The Yonex recommended method? Just want to be sure and clarify for everyone.

Yes, the Yonex traditional string pattern or thereabouts. We know there many be slight variations, as Panda uses one for the crosses.

As long as there is not an imbalance, long tie-offs, etc... We are reasonable and can spot proper stringing. Improper string patterns are quite obvious.

One-piece stringing is just fine. Again, any reasonable string job is fine, so there's no need to ask. It's the string patterns that are suspect or improper. Those are easily known/spotted.

Bottom line: if you are unsure of the stringer, don't use him/her. Use only proper stringers. The string job will be better, string will last longer, the performance of the racket and string will be better and you will play better. :D

That's not Panda's home (it's someone else's picture). This is Panda's temporary home (below). You can tell because there will always be a few broken rackets laying around. :p

...Panda is converting one of his bedrooms into a permanent stringing room. :D

ps a little tip for you .......if you moved them from the floor by the stringing machine you wouldn't step on them and break them. Big Panda feet and 4u's badminton rackets are a bad combo.

PeteLSD and SilentHeart would sell their souls to sleep in the room that stores all the Panda Power rackets and badminton supplies. :D...:p

OK, maybe not Silent but Pete, definitely, especially is the stringing machine is pre-set at 35lbs with all the ZM70 he can eat...I mean string. LOL! :D:D:D

Panda is actually very organized. If you look closely (I guess you can't tell, picture too small), all the rackets on the ground are broken. It was just for show. :p

To call that string pattern "improper" is an understatement, and I am pretty confident that Dinkie is the only manufacturer who would have honoured a warranty against it. Having that much loose string around the outside of the frame is going to lead to a radical imbalance of stress and strain at 3/9 when it gets pulled in; I'm not surprised at all that the rackets folded where they did.

Received my T2's today and was completely sure I would like the old paint scheme better. Wrong, the new one pops really well as the shine to the red catches your eye. Makes you wonder on future products how shiny green would look against the black.:D
