I think Michael is too old to be star, dont you think? as he is 26 yrs old....he may have a good 3 to 5 yrs to perform.... For WS, I think Larisa can be a good force
I saw Elizabeth Cann at US Open..Not bad...she will improve.. Hope she can win title today vs Larisa ( Belgian Challenge)

I might be too subjective coz i only know most of the names for MAS Juniors. I wish to get more input on many others players from various countries.. I still needs more info about rising women badminton players (includes XD pair too) to make this list more prefect
MAS MS: Also Tan Aik Quan, Kuan Kam Chung, Teo Kok Siang.. but they're younger. Maybe too early to say whether they'll shine as future badminton stars.. MAS WS: Julia Wong, Lydia Cheah.. and some players of the younger batch.. (Project squads' players: http://www.bam.org.my/about.php) INA MD: I'm not sure whether Yoke is 21 or 22.. Rian for sure is 22, turning 23 in November.. Fitriawan?? Is that Devin Lahardi.. Fernando Kurniawan is Fran Kurniawan's younger brother. China MS: There's also Chen Tianyu. DEN MS: Jan Ø. Jørgensen is not that old, he played Arif before in some junior tournament.. I think it's German juniors.. Rune Ulsing (24 y.o.) (photos: http://www.fjerbolden.dk/spillerne/ulsing.htm) Michael Christensen (photos: http://www.fjerbolden.dk/spillerne/christensen.htm) ENG MS: Raj Popat from Wales.. Hehe, he had been to INA to train in Tangkas before..
Hmm.. ..if Mr. Christensen is "too old", then Ms. Cann would be considered as "old" also..?!?!.. ...another one of those gal which has your "girl-next-door" look.. In a way, i'm waiting for a European/non-Asian WD pair or pairs to rise to the top and start challenging the Asian WDs..It's been a very long while since professional badminton witness a non-Asian WD pair at or near the top of the WD world ranking (anyone knows/remembers when was the last time this happened?)..
right now i'm eyeing Zulfadli Zulkifli,Mas Junior.Heard he is a good player. some info about him.. Date of Birth :11 February 1993 Place of Birth :L.A California,US. Father :Zulkifli Sidek Mother :Hanny Pranatyo (Zulfadli's father Zulkifli Sidek is a former three-time Johor state champion and also worked as a coach at the United States Olympic training centres in Marquette, Michigan (1989-1991) and Los Angeles (1991-1992) while his mother Hanny Pranatyo, an Indonesian by birth, was also an active badminton player in her country during junior days. ) Fav player :Taufik Hidayat.(he really takes TH as his inspiration,he want to be in national senior player by the time he reach 16,just like TH,he said if TH can do it also not possible for him to achieved it,..huh such a big confident for small boy,let see if he can do it...) local achievement champion MSSM MS 2004-2007 champion MSSM MD 2003-2005 champion U12 GP 2003-2005 champion National Junior Circuit (U14BS )Grand Final 2007 champion MS division 2 Kedah Open 2007 International achievement MD and MS winner (U-13)in International Youth Championship in Malmo Sweeden 2005 U-12 champion in the Luster International Open 2005 in Sungai Petani.
Wow.. ..a pretty commendable resume for a young player his age..any pictures of him??..well, he's got abt 2 yrs to achieve his goal of entering the national squad
here.. Zulkifli 3rd from left with father, mom and his bro also badminton player. But this is not recent pic. Can't find a new one.
Yup. It's Devin Lahardi Fitriawan, although I won't consider him as a future badminton "star" since he's turning 24. I don't think his partnership with Lingga Lie is going to be a top 10 pair. He has more chance in the XD with Lita Nurlita. You are right, Rian Sukmawan is 22 going on 23, while Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki should be about the same age or 1 year younger. His former partner Yoga Ukikasah is 21 this year. Yes, I do hope Rian/Yoke do rise up the ranking table and hopefully be at least a semi-finalist in the 2009 World Championships The same goes for Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan. Indeed, Fernando Kurniawan is Fran's younger brother and currently in Pelatnas. I also won't include Fauzi Adnan into the list
