I bought 4x ZM62 and 4x ZM67 from Squash_Mart (RKEP) on ebay.. but I think they're MkI, not MkII, by the looks of the packaging. $3.75 per pack of strings, and came with free grips! What a deal!
Yes, Eric doesn't have any of the new stock. Apparently he reckons they're too expensive so he says he's not going to get any in. Surprising really, because I ordered 3 packets from Stringers' World, and even with amortising shipping they cost only AUD6 a packet.
Does anyone know were to get the Zymax 70 in Optic Yellow in the UK??? Stringers World only sell the Ivory White and New Red. I prefer to buy individual 10m sets than a whole 200m reel.
In terms of durability, how does the new '67 compare to the BG65ti and BG80? I tried the old 67 in silver and I really liked it. I'm actually quite a big hitter but seldom seem to break strings. My preferred tension is 25lbs.
Thanks Visor, I also really liked the original '70. I thought it had excellent feel and repulsion. However, I felt that it's durability was slightly overrated. Also - somewhat ironically - I felt it lost its tension very quickly. I think I'll avoid the 62 but give the 67 a try. Is there a marked difference in terms of durability between the new and old 67? Stringers World UK are selling them pretty cheaply anyway so I might buy a few packs.
Please provide photos and stringing video for the hardcore. Wanna know how much they stretch and frequency of sound when they are placed side by side!!!
I really liked the original Zymaxes, particularly the '70, because of its textured outer coating. Do the upgraded version(s) still maintain that coarse outer feel?
The 67 Doesn't have a pronounced texture like some Ashaway strings do. In fact, it seems less textured than VS850.
Strung my rackets with Red Zymax 62 about 10 weeks ago. Had a few mishits but sofar the string is still in one piece. With the previous yellow version I had to string a racket about every 1~2 weeks. So in my case durability has improved quite al lot compared to the first generation. Still if it was the case I wouldn't mind re-stringing. Tried quit a few strings but none of them had the hard feeling when hitting the birdie with Zymax 62.
