Hello everybody, I am looking for a club to play badminton in Billericay, Essex. I know that some clubs play in billericay school sports center but I could not manage to get their contacts anywhere. I am an intermediate player and I prefer to play on weekday evenings. -Zak
Hi Zak! I start work weekdays at 17.00 but can play Sunday.Be good to hook up for a game. Where do you play around Billericay? I only know South Woodham Ferrers courts and the one's at Riverside Chelmsford. Pretty flexible though. Max
As of now, I am not playing anywhere Max. Couldn't find a group in billericay. The main issue being, I do not have a car yet. I know that there are courts in billericay school where many clubs play but I am not sure of the process of renting them for 1 day. Any ideas on how we could find a solution ?
I understand it's difficult without a car. Are you near enough to get to the train station in Billericay? Perhaps if you could get to Chelmsford station I could pick you up from the station to play there. I actually live in South Woodham but I think Chelmsford would be a fair place to play I guess. I know it's a mission.....and not ideal.
Hi Max, That would be a bit tough considering that It takes a bit of time to reach chelmsford by train. I looked for places where we can play in billericay.I found it on a schools website. http://www.billericay.essex.sch.uk/bl/sports_centre It says we can hire the court at 13.5/hr. I am not sure what the usual rates are though.
