Sunday CCC CATS at MSAC on 06-Jan-2013 (A Short Report) . Wishing all CCC CATS trainees A Happy New Year 2013. Here is a short report for our Sunday (06-Jan-2013) CCC CATS at MSAC that Mario-P reminded me (that I have not posted) last night at our Wednesday CCC Social Games. We welcomed back Fay-Y and Jennifer-F to our CATS. Looks like Markus-H and Daisy-L are not back in Melbourne yet. At our CATS we worked on Dropshot Drills with Footwork involved. Remember all the factors; * About footwork * About transfer of weight * About point of impact * About follow-through * About target area * About where you are hitting from * etc, etc, ...... Some comments on trainees: 1. Timothy-T has the Slow Smash; but needs to learn how to do the Dropshot less follow-through. 2. Mario-P needs more follow-through for the Lift.. 3. Chong-C uses more of her Drive instead of the Lift. 4. Fay-Y has improved greatly on her Bounce (Net-play). 5. Jennifer-F should be doing OK after learning using the correct grips. Markus-H and Daisy-L should also be back from Queensland for our next CATS. Anyway, I shall post out our next Booking List below (for Sunday 13-Jan-2013) for trainees to book in. .

Sunday CCC CATS at MSAC on 13-Jan-2013 (A Short Report) . Here is a short report for our Sunday (13-Jan-2013) CCC CATS at MSAC. Don't know what's happened to Thanh-M; Hope that she is OK. At our CATS we worked on Timothy-T's Low Service and Mario-P's High Lift. Remember the factors; * About grip (thumb and index finger control) * About not to straighten your limbs (arms and legs) * About point of impact with the shuttlecock * About follow-through * About where you are hitting from * About target area * About margin of error * etc, etc, ...... Some comments on trainees: 1. Timothy-T can make use of the Low Service (in Singles) to start a rally with advantage (because of his faster footwork). 2. Mario-P needs to loosen his the grip. Holding the racket too tight is locking up his wrist action. I shall post out our next Booking List below (for Sunday 20-Jan-2013) for trainees to book in. .
