Have both the Ultra [lightest available and slightly head heavy] and the trinity which I believe is 86g and bp 285. Think I would agree with Dinkalot and say that his review if fair and accurate. I use the Ultra right now and am enjoying the challenge of it . The Trinity is a breeze to use and really like it but commanding the power of the ultra is compelling. Anyone who knows Dan well realizes he strives for the best in anything he does. I personally look forward to trying his new creations as I know they are only going to get better and better. Really am enjoying the current ones and the woven prototype I snitched away from him sure packs a nice punch as well.
can u review apacs tantrum shot 767,new model from apacs(improve frame) after that compare with apacs furious 767,see which one is better
Master Dink, can make a review of RSL Heat 9180? I just bought this racquet and I just want to know how you review it at your level of play. Thanks!
If I have not reviewed a racket it's one of three reasons: 1) I did not purchase the racket 2) I purchased the racket but did not get a chance to review it 3) I reviewed the racket but didn't update the file 99% of the time it is reason # 1
i feel sorry for you, you've said that so many times, and yet they still don't listen. how many copies do you usually purchase to do a testing? or do you only buy one? i'd buy it ^_^
You should do quarterly magazine giving review of new rackets and events update. Think some of the followers here will buy it and you get paid for your effort.
RSL, SOTX, Yonex, Chao Pai and APACS I usually test three of the same rackets. Other more obscure or hard to get rackets I test one. If only testing one, I make try to make sure the racket is "on-spec" and try to give it as fair a test as possible. If I feel the racket is "off", I won't report the findings of that specific racket in my reviews and try to get another one that I feel is "normal".
Ah I see. Such a thorough and devoted man. You have my admiration. and your budget has my envy as well
i dont know why the edgesaber10 is so low rated i just recived 2 (its 85+-1 grams) and thy are awesome!
Well, I agree and disagree. The original review of the Arc 10 was done on two different Arc 10s and they were that bad. I did not string either of them, both were borrowed. I have a feeling they were strung poorly. But regardless, the rackets did not perform well at all. But recently, I tried a new Arc 10 in 2UG4, it was strung at 30lbs. with NBG95 by a friend that I trust and it played quite well and felt great. I suspect originally I tested two bad Arc 10s with bad string jobs later tested a good, normal Arc 10 with a good string job.
Lol, no offence, but shouldn't the rackets that you test be in "optimal condition" before the test? Cos this would certainly affect the performance and one's subsequent rating.....I was a bit surprised by the low rating you gave for Arc 10 cos my Arc 10 didnt feel too bad.... Hmm....trying to reduce sales for teh Dark Side,eh...haha
At the time, the rackets I tried appeared to be in "optimal condition" . That's why I rated it what I did. The recent one I tried (very briefly) was a totally different racket, way better. Why? I don't know but those are the results.
dorysan was referring to edgesaber 10 of apacs. Sir Dinkalot and szekt was referring to Arc10 from yonex. So which one are we talking about now?
Ahhh, thanks for catching that. The APACS EdgeSaber 10 was around 89g and didn't play well, relatively speaking. Your mileage may vary.
