u can negotiate with them on price my suggestion is walk around n ask a few shops n compare, dun feel pressurised to buy by any of the shop. why? cos in singapore it quite easy to buy the same stuff as long u have the time to walk n compare. no shops in singapore dun accept Australian dollar, you can just visit any money changer to change, if u r in a hurry, u can do it at airport but of course the rates r not as attractive
I would suggest you check prices with the other shops in queensway before you visit Chau Beng. I believe the shops in Queensway accept Singapore dollars only. The nearest money changer should be across the road at the Anchorpoint mall.
thx for the info. i would probably change at my local bank here. i checked at chau beng it cost 260 each thats expensive
Hai, I am going to have a trip to Sing within next week. Kindly advise the market price for Arcsaber 7 and Arcsaber 10. Does these price negotiable? if yes, than please suggest how low we could bargain the price ? (5%, 10% or perhaps 20%) Cheers mate.
It's approximately $250 and you'll get discount (more discount if using cash) I'm suggest you visit Queensway Shooping Centre. I have been there once and it was satisfying (A lot of badminton products) You will love it like Pasar Pagi in Jakarta.
Dear Rivai Zhukov thanks for your response bro. S$250 is approximately equal to 1.7 mio Rupiah. it is much more expensive compare to pasar pagi's pricing (1.4 mio Rupiah). Anyway ..... I think I'm gonna take preliminary survey first in Queensway.
It's include string and the price is before discount. So,you could get cheaper than the retail price.
hmm..for any tourists coming...to sg...1st...time or...isnt aware of the marketprice at queensway.... i suggest... to do some homework or price comparison... b4.. buying rackets.. i am not against any shops at queensway..but..i do know of frds.. who r charged abit higher.. than norm.. pls jus b aware...
There are close to 5 shops in Queensway Shopping Centre that sell Yonex & li-ning goods. However, the ultimate question still remains as to which of these are originals and fakes. I remember being offered a Yonex NS 9900 for SGD 255. But then I noticed, the Yonex logo printed on the Cone was not clear. I am having second thoughts of buying from Singapore. Chau Beng was selling the same at +20 SGD. But forgot to check the authenticity point of the racket.
not sure about babolat but yonex n victor r easy to find u can check the eariler posts in this thread
Are you new in Singapore? I have not seen any fake racquets sold at Queensway. There are a few threads on how to identify fake YY racquets if you have no idea whats the difference.
I have checked for the authenticity points for yonex. "Almost" all of them match. Some points that stood out & that discouraged me from actually buying were: 1. At one instance, the Yonex logo that was printed on the cone looked like it was touched before the paint dried. Like when we write using an ink pen and move our hand over it without letting it dry You don't expect Yonex to make such a mistake now, do you ? 2. The Yonex logo at the bottom of the cones are different with every racquet. E.g. The racquets with Japan on the cone have a distinct curve at the tip of the bottom triangle while some did not have it. The printing of the white color on the Yonex logo had a slight offset from the plastic mould. 3. The limited editions of the NS9900 are available in Green & Purple colours. Some sellers claim that the standard ones have been phased out, but still available with the others. Sometimes I feel, i've become paranoid after reading all the posts on BC for the authenticity of the racquets and now contemplating to buy from a Japanese seller online.
I think bras Basah complex is well reputed Badminton store in Singapore. There we can find all types of badminton material and accessories.
I believe Bras Basah complex is good for buying shuttlecocks. One store out there has a wide range to choose from. The rackets out there are really highly priced, close to SGD 70 difference from Queensway. Anyway I figured that I need to take a jump and will be buying a new one from Queensway itself.
for yonex rackets.. perhaps...just look out for SP code with sunrise hologram sticker n shop is an authorised dealer of sunrise ..will be a safe bet......in buying a genuine piece..
