As I live in London, I can't watch the live streaming in BWF site, does anyone know a good proxy setting for IE. I tried all the usual stuff to fool Youtube, but it doesn't work. D

Don't have Sky Sports at home and I can't wait to see the matches!

We know LD and LW will meet in the final, and that's another chance to watch two best players at the moment. I think LD would win.

For WS, it would be another all boring Chinese final. The Chinese are too dominant in Women's singles.

Nice to see Tago beat Chen, so another nation in Semis.

Shame about the Indonesians, they're not that good anymore, would have brought some variety to the tournament, now it's all Chinese. Lovely to see the British XD pair beat the top Chinese seed but couldn't proress any further.

Of course,Lin Dan will appear in the London OG,just that I thought it not essential - good to have, not must have - to win Gold. Like all LD's fans, we all want to see him win every time, except that I'm also a fan of LCW and thought it unfortunate for him not only to play second fiddle to LD but also losing practically all the major titles to him (excluding last year's AE); LCW is a great player in his own right yet he's been denied time after time from winning the big one, recently even suffering some humiliating defeats at Chen Long's hand. Yes,may the best player win,it's just my personal wish to see LCW get one, at least one important memorable victory, the OG Gold being more prestigious and special than AE.Chen Long's time will come in due course, though I won't rule him out totally as he's proven to be a real threat to both LD and LCW,more to the latter.(Should LD and CL meet in the Final, expect no quarters given from either one but an-all out battle;with China assured of gold, it will be personal glory that decides matter).

As for "If Lin Dan wanted to proof why he is good, he should win the olympics when olympics is not held in China", I don't see the point as Lin Dan has already beaten LCW outside China in many major championships. Home ground advantage is not a decisive factor and doesn't necessarily work to one's favour, eg the Koreans are well-known to always play above themselves on home soil while some other players actually crack under the pressure of expectation. Suffice to say Lin Dan's lop-sided record against LCW in their head-to-head speaks for itself.

In all honesty, I don't see anyone or anything stopping Lin Dan from getting Gold in London OG, barring unforeseen circumstances or extraneous factors unrelated to badminton - human affairs are so unpredictable, that's life. However,to me,there is nothing more for Lin Dan to prove - He Is The Greatest!

One last point: Lee Chong Wei IS NOT Lin Dan's nemesis, there is none, in fact,if anything,it's the other way round - Lin Dan IS Lee CW's nemesis.

Another 20 minutes before the first match starts.

Thomas LAYBOURN/Kamilla RYTTER JUHL [8] and XU C./MA J. [2] have already done their warm-up and waiting to be called to appear on court.

Even if Lin Dan is the favorite, the difference between him and LCW is so small that either can win. It doesn't need unforeseen circumstances, it is just normal variance in matches between two pretty equally matched players.

Much as I fancied Li Xuerui, it will be a good thing for Tai-phoon to overcome her this time and perhaps even win tomorrow's title, not too far-fetched a thought, esp wen LXR is a bit "fatigue'' from all the many matches she has played since the German Open and possibly not quite at her best - imagine Wang Yihan complaining of tiredness in her match with Tine yesterday considering she came to this tournament fresh after the Lunar New Year break.

So for TTY, if not now then when? Tonight will be TTY's first Chinese hurdle, go for it!

Unforeseen circumstances are, well, unforeseen, eg, injury, personal problem. And yes, they are quite evenly matched though Lin Dan has the edge. In fact, I've gone on record to say Lin Dan is the greatest and Lee CW the second greatest, and got criticized for saying that (the second part, that is), ruffled not a few feathers, particularly fans of the past greats(among whom,Zhao Jianhua is my favourite); anyway, it is purely my personal opinion, there is no right or wrong answer, everybody is entitled to his/her own view or preference; even so we should acknowledge facts and try to be as impartial and objective as possible and qualify what we say.
