Except for Razif/Chong Sook Chin, KLRC & Nusa club players, the other Msia players were withdrawn from German Open, even Tan Wee Kiong/Woon Khe Wei who didnt go TC/Uber qualifiers & who need the OG points.
They went for 3 day training/team building camp last wk, which clashes with German Open - to prepare for AE. They couldnt have it earlier, got CNY, then must train for qualifiers, then play for qualifiers, last wk only time available to gather everybody.
Dunno if TCS went to the camp, should be.

Sis Koo_fan, someone already pointed out that TCS was sent the last TC, this time is Arif's turn. TC finals could be TCS's turn. If they do that, means send junior for qualifier, the more senior one for Finals.

despite the best wishes of the MAS supporters here, and don't get me wrong, i always support MAS players myself, i just can't realistically see hafiz posing much of a problem for BCL or LD. i reckon he'll lose tamely in both matches.

also, there's no point blaming the draw, if you aren't seeded, then chances are you'll be meeting one of the top players in the opening rounds of any SS.

Realistically, hafiz's chance to regain AE is almost zero.
based on his current performance, current ranking, who will expect him to do something in birmingham?

but,Is that so wrong to have hope?

No, no please dont say disaster for Msia in the AE.

I mean, it was expected for KKK/TBH despite being the defending great champion to be bundled out in the 1st round. The writing was already on the wall when they lost to some cardboard Korean pair.

.... but no worries, KKK/TBH are still young and all. ;)

As for LCW, I guess he was pretty tired because just before the AE, he was busy helping Ling Hee Liong in his election campaign in Gopeng. The doubles match where he partnered Hee Liong must have been pretty grueling.

.... but no worries as well cos there will be other AEs for LCW in the future.

    WMC, great overall display.

LWW/CTF, as usual dont have the finishing power/mentality to clear the final hurdle.

Hafiz etc had a decent tour of the English countryside and hospitality.

Yes... really two OG08 gold medals for Malaysia!!! This is the bold prediction by one Malaysia really really boleh fan who is hoping, praying and then hoping against hope that our shuttlers will take home 2 gold medals.

... but back to this AE, Malaysia was just unlucky thats all ;)

i missed the MS and the XD because i thought RTM did not broadcast the matches live yesterday. in turns out, they did show it later. when i finally surfed back to rtm1, the women's singles were in the second nail biting game. tine and lu lan made it enjoyable to watch. it was a tight match. congratulations tine for winning the AE2008.

then i watched the women's double (which usually i dont because usually the two contenders were from the same country, but yesterday it was not) and boy, that was one good fight too. :D really enjoyed that one. either one could have won that match.

then lastly the korean men's double, i decided to sleep because it is too late and i am working today and both contenders are form the same country. korea surely will win men's double. :D:p

CTF/LWW again showed their inability to get the match point. so many times they could not get the job done. but at least they did their best. and the korean pair really deserved the win for their level headed and calmness at the last few points. and happily they went on to win the men's doubles. so congratulations LYD. i always forgot his partner. maybe because LYD is the cute one. hahahahaha :D

LCW was actually listless and a bit clueless when playing chen jin in the semi finals. his famous defense was nearly inexistent. chen jin fully deserve the win as he managed to break LCW rhythm all through the game. LCW was looking like an amateur. but i still support LCW. :) hopefully he'll do better in the swiss open. chen jin went on to beat lin dan but reports was saying that lin dan was injured. but nonetheless, congratulations chen jin. :)

all in all, a pretty exciting AE. lots of upsets. korea showed that they mean business this year. full blown contender for the OG gold. :D:p;):)

Even though our Lee's (LCW and LWW) failed to shine but there are other Lee's (LKW, LHJ and LYD) who managed to grab the titles.

And to those who are related,
Lost is a lost.Nothing can change that.
But to be unable to wake up after the lost.Thats the real doomsday. The end of the journey.Until then, hope is there.

    N stop behave sarcastically.
U'll know how it feels when ur family members didnt support when u are in trouble.
in this case, when u start continously losing in ur badminton games.

    Actually,cooler.Nothing can change fact.
they lost.they played bad.they behave like juniors in badminton.
The biggest fans cant back them up with any points.
    It is clear.
The support is there. But truths are revealed.
No multipurpose's stuff. We hope lee's can win.Simple.3 years old kid can understand this. But to behave like adults n tell the truth in any situation.
    Im trying to do this.

It was really disappointing after seeing the Malaysian getting crushed in the semis.

What happen to LCW he was not even playing (well not till the last few points of second game, too late!!) and LWW & CTF as usual they just can't perform under pressure........... really disappointing

I am just looking forward to OG 08 and hope that it won't be as disappointing as this....

Lww/Ctf excuse is 'We failed to finish it off when it matters most'
Being unable to take pressure at ur 30s sound ridiculous.
It is more to unneccessary mistake.
N Lcw,just not up to chen jin's level this march.August will bring something.Hopefully.

    N yes.Looking forward.Not backward.
