Nick Fransman was 13-19 down in game 2, now it's 17-17 in game 3...

Came this || close to pawing that match -.- ... with CLD not in form/shape and French guy getting some decent results but looking closer at those results hadn't really beaten any tough opponents [IMG] so: skip
Should have left the Schaefer PAW in the end but saw some decent results for van Os as well in the recent past to throw a slight doubt in it for those meager 8 points ...

Any idea of Wacha's injury from last week is serious enough for me to paw against him (not in his first round match obviously)

Don't know but if it's anything like Ville Lang's than it wouldn't even be far fetched for R1 :D.

Top-seed and defending champion Yao Jie lost to her compatriot Patty Stolzenbach, 15-21 / 18-21.

All the INA representatives, except for Alvent/Rizki are still in the QF.

    MS QF
Emil Holst [13] vs Andre Kurniawan Tedjono [4] - as I mentioned before, Andre tends to do better in European tourneys compared to Asian tourneys. He has a chance to win another GP title this week, especially since Ville Lang is no longer in the draw. He's expected to reach at least the Final.

    MD QF
    Markis Kido/Alvent Yulianto Chandra
vs Chris Langridge/Peter Mills - the draw is also open for the 2 INA MD pairs to hopefully create an all-INA Final.

Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki/Hendra A. Gunawan vs Gan Teik Chai/Ong Soon Hock - see above.

    WD QF
Heather Olver/Kate Robertson vs Pia Zebadiah Bernadeth/Rizki Amelia Pradipta [2] - there's also a big chance for Pia/Rizki to win another title this week. I am just worried about their stamina as this is their 3rd tourney in a row and Pia also has to compete in XD.

    XD QF
Markis Kido/Pia Zebadiah Bernadeth [7] vs Wojciech Szkudlarczyk/Agnieszka Wojtkowska [3] - hard to say...but let's be conservative first here.

Polish XD pair are cr*p, Kido/Pia should have no problems.

The word 'crap' is often labelled as vulgar slang, for example, the American Heritage Dictionary updated in 2009 still think so. But the Collins English Dictionary - Complete and Unabridged has this :

    crap[SUP]2 [/SUP]Slang
    n

    1.
    nonsense
    2. rubbish
    3. (Life Sciences & Allied Applications / Physiology) another word for faeces

vb craps, crapping, crapped(Life Sciences & Allied Applications / Physiology) (intr) another word for defecate[C15 crappe chaff, from Middle Dutch, probably from crappen to break off]

Usage: This word was formerly considered to be taboo, and it was labelled as such in previous editions of Collins English Dictionary. However, it has now become acceptable in speech, although some older or more conservative people may object to its use

    I never said crap, I said cr*p :p

And anyway, regarding this pair, I was referring that the pairs seeding fails to reflect their quality in respect to the rest of the draw. Kido/Pia should have no problem (they push Ahmad/Natsir) polish pair, struggle with Danish 2nd string pairs and other European players...

Friend, you misunderstood me. Actually, what I meant to say is we can afford to be more liberal and tolerate that word even though it's not widely accepted yet.:) I go along with the usage note of the Collins English Dictionary cited. Cheers.

Ah okay :) well what I said about the pair still stands, I would not expect any problems for Kido/Pia (2 straight games, less than 15 in both)

If they are cr*p already what should the level of the average forumite be christened? :D

Embarrassing perhaps :p, or "for-the-love-of-god-please-stop-playing" [IMG]

They're not Kido/Pia's level, just put it that way! They've lost to so many scratch pairs this year (maybe I meant their form is crap:p)

Hehe, yep saying they're playing like cr*p is a lot less derogatory than saying they are cr*p [IMG]

Ya, the INA XD Pia/Kido is highly capable of winning the title, their no.7 seeding isn't reflective of their true strength.

For MS, I'm thinking it's either Dieter Domke whom I remembered upset Shon Wan Ho at the last Thomas Cup or Andre Kurniawan now that the top two seeds were bundled out.

For WS, it's more open and can be anybody's guess.

For MD, I pick the INA Chandra/Kido .

Again for WD, it's another INA pair Pia/Rizki that's good to go.
