Hi all Baddies, I would like to seek a feedback how does the orange RKEP9000 reviewed compared to Arc Saber 10?
new batch apple green color PRO9000 had just arrived with more weight and BP options http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130773909971
What configuration would be a good competitor agains Yonex VT80 and Victor SW35? I was thinking about 300mm bp and 86gr? It is only available in red, green and blue? Is it 3U?
Agreed on the stiffness comment, though the weight and balance can be tweaked according to what specs you select from Eric, so what applies for your model might not for everyone else.
Ok, I received my 2x RKEP 9000's last week and tested them out. I firstly must say that Eric is doing a great job with the shipping. It's fast, parcel is really well packed, a lot of information when the package is send,... Now for the rackets, I've chosen the Red 9000 with bp 300mm and a turkey blue with bp 293mm. I'm disappointed because at every hit with the feather you got the impression that the head of the racket is hollow. It makes that sound and it feels like that. I hoped the head would have be more solid when you hit the feather as my former Carlton, Apacs, Yonex,... did. Sad experience but I'm moving on. Hope they will change that feeling.
Just ordered green one, 300mm bp 85g can't wait to compare its performance versus VT80 4U and SW35 4U.
IS there a reason why you didnt get the orange version? Cant wait to hear your review comparing to VT80
I played again with my red orange one and it feels better now. I enjoyed playing. I'll see next week when I will play a match Thanks Eric!
Just a very short summary after receiving my Pro in comparison with VT80 over 4 hrs of doubles RKEP Pro 9000 lime green BP : 300mm dry Weight : 85 gm dry String : BG 66UM 26 lbs VT80 BP : 310mm dry Weight : 85g dry String : BG80P 27 lbs Smash: VT80 > PRO9000 Clear : PRO9000 = VT80 Net : PRO9000 > VT80 Defence / Manoueuverability : PRO9000 > VT80 In a sense there is no real surprises, the PRO delivers as what I had read and what I suspected. It has power but lose out to VT80, not sure it is due to the BP-but make no mistake it is no slouch either. I think the key selling point is that the PRO fits in very well to those who wants abit of power yet dun want to sacrifice the net touches and defensive manouevrability. Noticed that with this, I can play "offensive defence" turning defence into a trap and pushing the doubles back player to various corners. Pass the Pro to my playing partner, and he was giving glowing review claiming that he loves the loud boom when smashing , easy to control - no adjustment needed - it's as if he has been using the Pro all along. I did not noticed the boom smashing sound but I noticed quite a few users here also mentioned it, will pay more attention next time. things to note : the strings are different for both, and I suspect I can get even more power using BG80P on the Pro, and I did not measure the wet BP and weight, will get more details next time.
