does that mean warranty is void if removed? Honestly, underneath, the wood of the handle looked perfectly fine. The only plausible reason I could think of for the lead tape being there is just to adjust the BP. I do admit that of 1 of the pieces was on one side of the handle. But for that piece to be there to adjust the balance of the racquet from the right to left side. That would indicate that the racquet was flawed upon production or something >.<
1) Sir, please stop assuming. There is no flaw with the racket. Many manufacturers adjust the BP by using lead tape in the handle. 2) Your warranty is not void if you remove the lead tape. There's for a reason, like you stated, to adjust the BP. If you remove the lead tape, your BP will go way up and your weight will go down.
I took off the lead tapes off two of my T2 racquets after having them since getting them. In short, my T2 racquets now feel similar in playability (handling) and specs to my YY VT70
Hello all, Here are my 2 cents concerning the TPro. I currently own 2 almost identical TPro (~84g and 284mm BP) strung with BG80 at 24 lbs and Zymax67 at 24 lbs. I am not ashamed to say that the TPro is now my go to racket. Poor Carlton Vapour Trail Tour cannot get over it. The feel is solid, the racket is very precise around the net (or I am just great in that area ) and you can get the shuttle to the back line without too much trouble. I find it easier to play than the T2v4 (83.2g/285mm BP) I own as well. This was a really pleasant surprise to be able to play that well with this racket. strung up my TPro with VS-850@24lbs today and tested it out in the gym. the TPro is definitely the best Panda breed so far and appropriately carries the DNA of the previous discovered Panda breeds. the TPro breed as we all know has a distinctive natural CF fur mixed with a yellow gold lower body. the particular Panda i have tips the scale at 85.7g and balances itself at 300BP. the TPro while not a Cheetah type is fast on defense. strange that even though it is 300BP it is not sluggish. unlike the UPro breed that i tested before with similar weight and balance. while not BS10 fast, it is a delight to use on defense and drives. unlike what the name would suggest, it is agile and manuverable. i have no problem using it for fast drive and net intercepts during a doubles game. the feel of the breed holds the DNA of older Panda, a well damped racket that is to the muted feel type. personally i prefer something that has more feedback like Victors but other may prefer different. control is decent and i have no problem executing touch shots like push and netshots. defense is one of the strong point. the shaft is not overly stiff, similar to the Trinity2 and slightly stiffer than the Precision. even though the balance is BP300, it feel head lighter than the Trinity2 breed that i have with similar BP (BP298) and weight (85g). smash is something that i have not grasped after a few games with it. initial feeling is that it is decent but not at the same level as the X80 or the VT80, but probably in the region of the BS10 and ARC10. perhaps more time with it to adjust smash timing will improve it. other things like clear and drops are easy to execute. the shaft is lively and thus offers very good rebounce speed. as i said, this is the best breed of Panda so far and daddy Panda has done a great job in bringing this to the market. Panda rackets have evolved and improve steadily and i look forward to the discovery of the next breed, the model R. hopefully i will be able to get my paw on those soon.
kwun - surprising that you say you find the tpro (swing/head) lighter than similar spec t2, because I found the opposite
I originally bought a first TPro at 86/287 as that is my default spec for the Trinity series, but after talking with Dink, I ordered a second at 85/300. I'll set up both the same, ZM67 @26lbs, one full Yonex Super Grap with full overlap to create a smooth grip, over the base grip with plastic still on. I'll do a comparison very soon of the two.
i think u will like the 300/85. even at that spec, i think the TPro can be slightly heavier to get more oomph. but that's just my preference.
only slightly. also there might be a difference in string as well. i don't have my T2 strung right now and i was going from memory. and a little comparision with the Precision. the TPro weight feels more concentrated towards the t-joint while the Precision weight is more toward the top of the racket head. it is more like a Ti-10 in that respect.
