at last! WCH won 19-21, 21-15, 21-19! the thai junior fought well but this time, experience won over youth.
Huh..Such a close shave for WCH.I wonder what Malaysia plan tomorrow against Korea.WCH must be very tired now because he played all three matches against India,Taipei and Thailand in rubber game.
Thanongsak fought with nothing to lose, good exposure, just WCH's experience & composure won thru the end. The way RTM commentator sounded, like WCH did badly by having to play 3 sets against a Thai junior player, maybe tomm the line up may be different. Depending whether Msia wants to win at this qualifying round or want Hafiz & Arif to see more action.
MAS enters final day tomorrow after beat THA 3-0 when third match Wong Choong Han overcome Thailand teenage player Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk with tight score 21-19 in decider game.
After looking at Malaysia team this time, our second and third MS are not strong enough to challenge other strong nation second and third MS yet such as Bao,Chen Jin,LHI,SSM,Sony,Simon and the Denmark MS.Well,i hope Hafiz and WCH can keep on improve before the Thomas Cup final in May.In my opinion now,if Malaysia want to win back the Thomas Cup after 16 years,we have to rely fully on the first MS LCW and two doubles Koo/Tan and Chong/Lee.If LCW and Koo/Tan can win the first two points, then our chance is bright. The most important person here is LCW,his first point will boost up Malaysia camp confidence.Hope he will not crack under pressure like last time.
Looking at Uber Cup line-up, they are giving the junior gals some action. Ng Hui Lin /Goh are 2nd WD, WPT will partner Lim PS instead as 1st WD. Lydia Cheah might have to play to win last point. But Japanese cuties looks set to wrap it up at 3-1.
Dunno, hope it's not her injury prob again. You all watching live on Astro later can tell us. RTM 1 is only showing delayed at 11.30 pm.
How this team event contributes in player's WR point..?....WCH played all three matches...and won all of them.....WCH must collected more WR points than HH and Arif...????....if so...worth it for WCH..
Looks like MAS is preparing for the 3rd. placing matches...againts HK tomorrow......its quite hard to beat Jpn...as they have good 2nd. and 3rd singles.....and................. two very cute pairs.........
Come on Jason..You must support Malaysia team.I know you support Japanese team just because of the cuties...
To Jessica Dear Jessica, I am worried to see such play from WCH. I hope that he can produce some of his best games. Luckily, he won against the Thai younger player.I hope that he can play even better if he is fielded tomorrow in the final match. Overall, well done, Malaysia! You make us proud of you. Let's join hands together and continue this supportment for our Uber team. From: Ayu
Thank Kak Ayu..Really touch by your support towards Malaysia players.Yup..Lets support our women team now.
a really close game for wch phew wow i am surprised that MAS field wpt/lps instead of wpt/ceh as 1st wd. what happen to ceh? anyway hope the scratch pair can win like yesterday. it's hard to beat JAP today but not impossible hehe MAS boleh
good line up for the malaysian women yeh WOng mew Choo Wong Pei tty- Lim Pek Siah Julia Wong Ng Hui Lin-Goh Liu Ying Lydia Cheah
Tanongsak played aggresively but could not beat the veteran. The old fox still had a trick or two up his sleeves to wrap the 3rd game up. I would not put too much wrong into this game -- WCH had, at times, taken it easy with casual strokes. The main thing is he was too smart for the young Thai.
