Hmmm... Compare it with Mette Poulsen (European WD Jr winner 2011) and Line Kjaersfeldt (XD winner of EC Jr 2011) of DEN who have to play in WS, WD and XD
Yulia Yosephine Susanto beat the seeded Turkish player in rubber-set. She should face Ayako Sakuramoto tomorrow.
One more match left involving INA players. I think Ronald Alexander/Tiara Rosalia Nuraidah should beat their opponents quite comfortably.
Ronald/Tiara won in 3-sets. The timings of matches tomorrow will definitely be a concern to the INA team. As an example, Lukhi/Ririn will play in the first match at 9am against possibly a KOR pair. Then, less than 2 hrs later, Lukhi/Kevin are scheduled to play against Wang/Wu. Similarly, Ronald/Tiara are scheduled to play at 12:30pm, while Ronald/Selvanus and Suci/Tiara will have to be back in court at 2:15pm.
Yes, she is 16. Small girl but amazing footwork and court sense. Needs to gain a bit of size and strength to round off her game (she will). She's featuring in WD as well.
I can't wait to see Riyanto Subagja vs. Viktor Axelsen..... Hey, if Viktor got into so much trouble with that HK Jr, then anything can happen here... Maybe Viktor is too tired from playing all those SS events before coming into Taipei... Jet-lag too, maybe...
Ahem, like I have always been predicting (post #295): http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php/40986-Japanese-players/page18 Lol, Kanako seems to be saying: "ぃぃね!", which I believe translates to something like Attagirl! Inthanon struggled to overcome Aya Ohori. Looks like Nozomi the Great is going to take the GS title.
Yuki Fukushima meeting Sindhu again, an opponent whom she had thrashed 21-8 21-13 in the junior team event.
I think that's a little optimistic. Noz is still learning the ropes. Look at Rat and TTY this year–insane performances mixed in with awful inconsistencies. Top 25 would be a good, steady achievement for Noz in her first full year on the circuit. No need to rush her. Anyhow, I like the way she is progressing. Another year means she will get bigger, stronger and smarter on the court.
Perhaps. Didn't quite like her play in the video match against Nozomi, although the score was close enough, 20-22 17-21. She also has good results against other strong players too, including Sindhu, and she is quick with her feet. Yuki opens her shoulders when smashing, somewhat like Tine Baun, whereas Nozomi's is square to the net. Clearly, among the two, Nozi has a lot more power.
