Basically it says that a player who has been accepted into a BWF event, cannot withdraw and play in another BWF event over the same period.

That's funny ! How could BWF schedule two or more events in the same time. They shall not sanction it & put the blames on players :mad:

That's very possible. You see BWF is not the one who actually organised the events, the respective country associations are. BWF in most cases only endorse/sanction the event.

Moreoever for those pan-regional events such as World University Game or South-east Asian (SEA) Game etc, BWF has no direct influence on the choice of dates of these events. Obviously BWF would not want to see for example a Super Series tournament to clash with the SEA game where the best Indonesia and Malaysia players would likely to oblige to participate.

Sea Games once a two year, Asian Games once in forth year. BWF should be more flexible with their schedule to make way for Badminton players to participate in those 2 events.
How about Olympics, you won't see BWF to scheduled any Badminton Tournaments during that periods. Why Can't they did the same thing for Pan- Regional games??

You are right; CO and JO are in different weeks anyway. However World University Games is not a BWF tournament so will not come under this rule?

I believe BWF sanction the World University Games - it is in BWF calender.
