North Americans are different than Brits in this respect. NAers = excessive at many times; just check out our SUVs and Trucks. OK, some of us need it but in general we don't. Back to racket bags, some of us carry much more stuff than you stated: +Extra shirts, this is the big one When it's hot in SoCal, 5 to even 12 shirts are needed for those that prefer to wear cotton. +Towels +First Aid/Bandages/Athletic Tape +Deodorant/Personal Supplies +Head/Sweatbands, braces, medical supporting needs +Jacket? +Pants? +Equipment bag: for grips, string, grip powder, scissors, etc... +Wet Bag for your wet clothes/towels/etc... +Wallet/Cell Phone/IPod storage +Change of clothes It's very easy to fill-up a big bag, especially if you play for 5+ hours at a time or a tournament. Back and shoulder injury? Huh? Not. We Americanoooooes drive everywhere. You'd only be carrying your bag about 200 meters.
Spot on Panda! I only walk like 80m from the parking lot to the court. However in Canada, with car prices still slightly above the US, even with all the incentives to buy we don't drive as many F150's or Yukon XL's as much as in America. When visiting my relatives down in Califonia, it was an experience just to see all those SUV's. Here we love our midsize cars, until winter comes........

so true. i keep my bag huge 9 racket bag close to my car. i pack my clothing for the day into the bag, lift it into the car, then walk 50m (if i cannot find good parking!) to the gym, plop it down, and then don't lift it until i leave. i usually have enough to survive for weeks with the things i stuff into that bag. back in Hongkong, we have to carry the bag, walk down to the bus stop, take bus/MTR/train, walk to the gym, and then back. easily a kilometer or more of walking. packing light and small will be essential there.
back in HK, maybe you can still tip a coolie to carry your bag for you! ??? Or are those days long over???

i think safe to say that you will get it before xmas for a nice xmas present. but i think Dink will be very busy stringing and shipping them out for the next couple of weeks.
Nobody needs to change shirts 5 times. So what if it gets a bit sweaty? You don't see football players changing their shirt every time they get a bit of mud on it. You're just reinforcing the stereotype that badminton players are soft
A bit sweaty? LMAO! Sir! You must live on an island...oh wait, you sort of do, one of the best ones. Adam, if you've ever been to SoCal and watch how people sweat in extremely hot conditions, then you would know. And if hot and humid such as SE Asia, forget it, one will be dripping on the court constantly, the sweat does not dry up! Football? Come on now, that's a completely different sport. Sweat does not adversely affect that game. You ever try playing on a soaking wet badminton court? Thank you!
Have to agree with Dink on that - I never wear cotton shirts in summer, even though it's probably a lot cooler here. But even with dry-fit clothes, I need to change at least once (although I usually play for 3-4hours) or it'll drip all over the court - even my shorts are soaked. Now, in winter, I still change once, cause the wet shirt will get way too cool (dry-fit or cotton). The bag would really need to be big for me - I usually pack 5-8 rackets (testing out new strings, having at least 2 doubles and 2 singles rackets....), a big pair of shoes (EUR46), and all my sportswear - 2 shirts, 2 shorts, tracksuit, 2l+ liquid, bananas, and all my medical supplies and other accessories (grips, knife for cutting broken strings, extra shoe laces etc.)....I fill my Li Ning bag to the brim every time, only when I change back home and don't shower at the gym I have a bit room left.
Speaking of Denmark, our new Coach here in SoCal, Agus Wijaya, was a coach in Denmark, living in Copenhagen. Do you know him? Great guy and player. Anyway, Agus said to Panda, "Everything in America is so big. The food, the cars, the people." So, we might as well add racket bags to that list.
