2 days ago, just for curiousity . i gave a try bought a white marker from popular at 2,50. Before my tuesday game,, i just paint it on the left top frame around 1 cm to my current armotec 700 Ist gen. Want to see the feeling of it, when play.. Review after putting on the white paint to it (1cm) Lobbing : 9/10 (Before applying white paint ) 9.2/10 (After applying white paint) Net: 9/10 (Before applying white paint ) 9.2/10 (After applying white paint) Drop: 9/10 (Before applying white paint ) 9.2/10 (After applying white paint) Push/ Tap : 9/10 (Before applying white paint ) 9.3/10 (After applying white paint) Drive: 9/10 (Before applying white paint ) 9.3/10 (After applying white paint) Forehand smash : Same rating before & after using white paint : 9.1/10 Jump smash: 9/10 (Before applying white paint ) 9.4/10 (After applying white paint) Stiffness: It has become stiffer after i add paint to it ! Conclusion : Overall satisfied with it, going to paint the whole grey fame of armotec 700 to white as like Lin dan after i send it for restring !
I believe is your mind playing tricks with you. A mere paint would not add any stiffness to your racket.
Bro, this is my opinion and feeling of the racket, after i added paint to it, the stiffness is better and a bit head heavier now!
Ferrerkiko: i think you've lost your mind. Your enthusiasm is healthy, however there is a limit. Anyway, Have been curious about the li ning brand for sometime now and would love to find a way to buy; (cheapest) recommended legit store. I have read this thread and was wondering whether bbe ship to Uk. Any other recommendations to previous experience would be most appreciated Thanks in advance
MBS has a sale on the N90 right now, but if you want other N series you have to go to badmintonshoponline or e78 and any other LN stuff, bbe is the only way to go (i think e78 started selling a couple of the bags too)
Hmm this white paint exercise tops it all. I think this enthusiasm has gone to the point of moronic absurdity.
Hmmm well.. If that placebo effect can affect, or perhaps improve ones performance/feel then why not? Placebo effect can be rather strong on the human mind.
Ha ha ha, I thought I have seen it all and hear it all but this one really top it ! Definitely a good x'mas cheer up for me ! Come to think of it, I think the US army or any army in the world should paint the top of their tank white, it will made the armour stiffer !
Regardng white tape on top of frame.. I used to use some protective tape (think it was SOTX who delived this tape) on the top of the frame, when you scrape the head to the floor diving or digging late at the net, it is kind of nice to protect the frame from scratches Also having this tape may make it easier for LD to quickly know which racket are his when returned in a heap from the stringer cheers, T
It may or may not be due to the placebo effect, depending on the weight of the paint. Any weight from as little as 0.1 g at the tip of the racquet top will have a discernable effect on its playability. This is due to an increase in swingweight which has a more multiplier effect at the tip of the racquet than at any other locations. As you go down towards the handle the effect diminishes. As you go sideways at the 3 or 9 o'clock sites it becomes ponderous from higher drag. But the side effects of adding weight to the tip of the racquet are reduced maneuverability, not better.
He used a white marker on a 1cm area, off-centre at the top left, yet magically every stat except forehand non-jump smash improved as well as increasing the stiffness of the racquet .
Poor, see the ending of the video. They are making the situation look like he really in his court right now.But they forgot to take of half of the grip~Aiyooo
err... stomping your right foot on the ground when u smash is not considered a 'jump smash'. i've seen you play, ferret. what next after applying white paint on your racket head? maybe you would like to stick a scotch-tape across your strings to 'improve the smashing power tremendously' ie. make the hitting sound loud as hell. so far, i've seen 2 clowns did this and i swear i could hear them playing from a mile away.
lin dan does not paint his racket at all. he applies athletic tape to the top of the racket. We can see it on his Li Ning N90 and Armortec 700.
Since so many bros agreed that Lin dan put athletic tape on the top fame of the racket, i will follow also... Lin Lin Dan ... .. I will always support you!
