I hate it, dark and gloomy. I like to see the crowds, coaches, line shots etc which is sorely missed in this SO. On the plus side, it would be good for the players as they can easily see the shuttle and less lighting distractions.
yeah, chen jin proved that he, at least, was a world champion afterall. haha congratz to all the winners. about the chinese WS speculation, won't give any thinking on that becoz it's LYB's job.
Have you not watched the German Open and All England?? It is exactly the same setup! Except the AE has better court lighting (and/or better camera's) ... But not a fan of it myself either.
Swiss Open had no camera to capture the tight net shots and straight at the lines. There were probably only 2 or 3 cameras.
3 I believe yes. But the point was the dark lighting setup ... (for finals day I think it is okay but not the early rounds) Anyhoo don't know what the b*tch*ng is about, it's a GPG level event now. Perhaps you can tell me which other GPG events other than German x2 come even close? (from swissopen.com/index.php?id=201)
I like this type of set-up . Personally, I like this type of set-up; (1) Lights shining from the sides, and (2) Spectators darkened at the stands. This type of set-up eliminates most of the distraction encountered by players. .
