This year (again) I took photos of the nice equipment used by the photographers at the SO 2008 and could not stop drooling at the bazooka lens :)

Yeah i agree.. but this is nothing... there is one lady that i know who is in motorsports photography.. you should see the amount of ARMORs she carries. It make me feel like a lesser man. I will try to find her photo in my archive..

thanks for sharing these. a treat for us camera fans.

i see the usual list of 70-200/2.8IS, 70-200VR, 70-200/2.8 AF-s. surprise to see 17-55 and 24-70 as those tend to be a bit short. also the biggies like 300/2.8 and 200/1.8. it seems like 200/2 hasn't trickle into the press yet.

there are some which i cannot identify though, what's that silvery lens here held by the gray shirt guy? i think it is a Pentax...

and what's that big lens held by the guy in black? maybe a nikon 300/2.8?

    Hi everyone.
Well done Kwun. I was using the 85 mm 1.8
For the first time. And was really delighted with the result it's a beauty !
A a lot cheaper, though, the 50 mm 1.8 does a great job.
    All the best to everyone

    Always pleasant to see them...

..the most important question is, did our Sealman try or borrow one of those lenses??..;)
..yep, lots of those. Btw, the 200mm/f1.8 lens, i believe that's the 8th pic, from the bottom, in the 1st post;). I'm a bit surprise the guy(greenish shirt) was holding it w/out a monopod...hmm..

    ^^Off topic-Badminton vacation???...^^

..do you want a relatively close baddy tourney vacation, say, just a few hundreds of miles away?? or one that is thousand of miles away??...if you pick the former, well, in almost 3 weeks, there'll be a baddy tourney, not as big as the S'pore Open, which you can attend......and you can take pics with, at the same time!...what say you, kwun??..;)

That lens is the Olympus Zuiko Digital ED90-250mm f2.8 zoom lens which can easily cost about $10k. With his Olympus E-520 body being 2x factor, this translates to 180-500mm (35mm image size). Info gotten directly from the user himself.
