And because of that, you think awarding LCW a Datuk is the right thing??

Is our Datuk title so low in value that even a shuttler with no major title/s be awarded one? If that is the case, I think HH & KKK/TBH should be made Tan Sris for their AE win.

Winnie is right. LCW cannot refuse Datukship coz it would offend very important people. Pemuda is also right - datukship means very little these days coz many people with nefarious background are datuks.

If LCW keeps winning, maybe I will be right too that he might get a knighthood from the Queen. :)

    .
No way ... Titles are given to acknowledge contributions given to a nation.

If LCW were to receive a knighthood from the Queen of England, then LCW would need to play for England.:p;)

I thought the Queen of England does award titles to citizens of other countries who may not represent England, particulary to citizens of Commonwealth countries. :)

Lee Chong Wei can say no.At least.."I dont think i deserved this..."
But once again,up to him la.People, get your own action figured then come to talk.
Are you willing to reject that title if it was given to you?

I find very very few well-deserved Datuk in Malaysia.Again, the decision makers are of the opinion we are not competent into.

No comments... as to the recipients. But i would say there are much better people out there who is more deserving. Sometimes having no DatukShip title is better than to have one.

I have my previous post to answer you. However, one more repetition.
Some are not qualified into it.Lee Chong Wei is included. He is giving , but i would like to believe Datuk title worth more than Silver Medal.
Sir,I find it useless to have a debate about it.
As long as it benefited Chong Wei in terms of motivation and all,i have no other criticisms against him, neither the title.

Are you saying LCW need to be motivated with a title like a Datuk in order for him to perform better???:eek::eek: I thought as a professional athlete, LCW's motivation should come from competing and winning major titles. I wonder how come other pro athletes like Nadal, Federer, Tiger Woods, Beckham, Usain Bolt and Lin Dan dont need to be conferred with state honours in order to have them motivated and all??

Thank you. I rest my case when it comes to the Malaysian subsidy mentality.

Yes, pamper them. Yes, molly cuddle them. Infact, we should have awarded LCW a Tun title instead to 'motivate' him even more. ;)

    Malaysia Boleh to you.

Datuk Lee is 'accidently', 'purposely', 'dramatically', 'fortunately', 'unbelievably', 'unpreditably', 'instantly' and 'suddenly' being conferred the prestigeous Datuk-ship by the relevant authority/authorities thanks to Permatang Pauh, instead of his achievements in badminton sports.

Some here still questioning the qualification of DLCW for being conferred such important titles at his age, or even his achievements in the world badminton sports. And I believe his achievements, without any major championship titles in hand, are still putting him in the 'disqualification-status' of coferring him the Datuk-ship.

Some here saying that conferred him with the Datuk-ship is some sort of motivation and encouragement. For this statement, i am at Pemuda's side. Crowned DCLW with the unbeatable Tun-ship so he can gets more motivation and encouragement and thus, become a really No.1 world badminton player.Malaysia Boleh!!
