I don't know, I think Sayaka got to her in the shouting department, Think Saina came across as a bit mentally weak. Not enough for her to lose though well done Saina
The match didn't have my complete attention so I didn't really pick up on it too much. However there was a rally in the second game when Saina played a net shot return into the net and Sayaka screamed in her face, the next point the reverse happened and Saina screamed back at her. It did seem like a reaction born from aggravation, not sure I'd classify it as mental weakness though.
I do agree, but I think if she's got space capacity for it then it's not a problem. Her retaliatory scream did seem to deflate Sayaka a little. I've been on receiving end of stuff like that before. If I've got everything worked out, then I don't mind giving a little back, but if I need the thinking time then I'll stay focused and ignore it. But yeh it's a dangerous game to play though, and once you've lost your calm you've already lost
Believe it or not the last 6 months of inconsistency, or may be starting from London OG... the top 4 WS hasnt been performing well and way below their own standards... this ought to have come.... sooner or later... LXR doesnt seems so emotional but for others the pressure of expectation is bound to bring out the emotions.... And IMHO this is better way to vent it all out.... frees their minds... and makes them ready even more....
It spurs up a sleeping tiger as well.... I would try this with certain players may be against whom this could get to their head and if a player could give it back with interest better refrain
sorry, double salto WD seeded 2 are really nightmare for indonesian girls Misaki Matsutomo/Ayaka Takahashi
Indeed...they have been a jinx to INA pairs in the past 12 months. None has beaten this pair, with the young pairing of Anggia Shitta Awanda/Ririn Amelia being the closest to beat them....leading 10-2 and then 19-16 at the end of the third-set...only to be overturned 19-21
Was CL drunk or playing with weights on his feet? Cuz there's no other way Sugiarto can even come close to him in speed, shot quality is on a whole different level as well. Either the Chinese squad is in bad shape (which could be, 2 months before the WC preparation is likely at a very draining level) or they're bowing out on purpose. With CL being very consistent over the last year and winning the AE in spectacular fashion, I don't see any of the 'regular' (apart from LCW/LD, that is) MS players outpacing him. PS: Koo/Tan should really split up. Losses like this are a clear sign they're a spent force.
Not possible at all. Have you watched the match?? If you feel that chinese squad deliberately lost to everybody, let it be.. But Tommy completely overpowered ChenLong in all the department and CL could not do anything.. He simply blinked and was turning back to look at his coach every now and then.. He does not know what to do at all.. That is the fact.. Considering the 'deliberate' losing policy , why they first of all need to participate in such a prestigious tournament to spoil the beauty of the sport.??.
I agree. This is sport and if this time Tommy win, means he ready more to beat CL. Nothing is impossible. I watched live yesterday, and this time CL like did not know what to do. Tommy play style remind me of his now coach, Joko Supriyanto; late boomer but quite consistent until he resigned.
