And then you promptly proceed to your friendly neighborhood racket store to measure the dry wts and head wts of various models of rackets on the racks.

 

Hmmm. Used the kitchen scale tonight to demonstrate to the kids just how much sugar was in one of their sweet drinks. It was a significant pile of carbohydrate.

The BC'er in me came out when I spontaneously exclaimed, "That weighs almost as much as a Black Knight Photon racket!!"

 

Is the store still "friendly" when you are squatting there in the aisle, measuring up their merchandise and taking notes?

 

Well if he even only got half of the rackets he bought in the last 2 years from there, it better be friendly

you reply to your own posts.

 

When........ you get lost in a sea of experience and knowledge and still come up none the wiser!

 

... visit your local store minimum once a month to check out new stuff
... you know more brands than the owner of your local store
... you tried more than 5 different strings
... if you spot a mate with a new racket you ask for trying out and write a review
... you can wrap a grip with different methods
... you have or aim to buy a stringing machine
... you have clear tune on your smartphone and you use it after every stringing job
... you know DC, White Label and Rkep
... you know who eric, wongor and chris are
... you quote things from BC at your club or a situation of badminton
... you can't explain things no more in your mother's language. Only in englisch
... you know all rules by it paragraphes and quote them if a opponent do wrong things

 

you go through strings faster than grips.

 

You can tell a racket is a fake just by looking at the string pattern.

 

When you see the latest the racket and become a fangirl about the racket, I experienced this when I went to the Olympic meet up

 

the finely of cutting "perfectly good" (stock) string isn't completely foreign to you.

 

you have more comments to comment while watching a professional game on youtube or live stream than the commentators and you know all the common phrases of description that the commentator uses, you sorta make fun of her on BC, and you sometimes use it just to feel like a professional commentator

you always talk about your wife/fiance/girlfriend as if she's the enemy to badminton, tho you still love her very very much
