    Thanks cheung.
All three names you mentioned are actually not in my original list, they are just added by members suggestion. BTW, KMS is not on the list anyway.

Is this poll and the backhand poll even needed? We all know who the kings are.

Overall it has to be FHF. Sheer power and dynamic.

Unless we break this into subcategory. Like, most spectacular jump ( I would vote for Sigit B. :D). Best angle (TBH prehaps). Best continuous smasher (Kido?) and loudness smasher... :p

P.S: I agree that HTK should be on the list, maybe Zheng Bo too

Liem Swie King is the "King of the Smash"

    .
I am still wondering why Liem Swie King is not listed.:confused::confused:

Up to now LSW is still known as the "King of the Smash". This YouTube will demonstrate what I mean:

..if you read the title of this thread/poll, this is only for the MD event:eek:.....unless your Liem Swie King played Men's Doubles in competition..
For the MS event, your "King of the Smash" should be on that list (see other thread)..

..eventhough he played MD in a few tourneys, i believe he is known more as a MS player, wasn't he?..at least that's what the majority in BC (in this thread) think so and that's why his name is not on the list..

Liem Swie King: The one with the best smashes in Singles or Doubles

    .
Perhaps we shall let other BCers to come in to comment.

I have observed great INA Mens Doubles over many years. And LSK was one of the greatest; with the best smashes.

    Thanks for the input chris.

You can vote for him on the MS thread only if the mod make a poll for it.

Damn Chris, now the whole world knows that LSK played both doubles and singles well. He got bronze in 1985 WC.

Hariamanto Kartono partnered with Liem Swie King to defeat CHN at the 1984 Thomas Cup

    .
Hahaha... You know LSK well. :):):)

Because of his powerful smashes, PBSI probably told him to play MD with Hariamanto Kartono who could/would just set up shots for LSK to smash. ;)

LSK, playing MD with Hariamanto Kartono, also helped INA to win GOLD from CHN at the 1984 Thomas Cup, at the 5th and last match, when the score was tied at 2-2.

Yeah, LSK played doubles in his later years. As for the 1984 TC edition, you mean they have switch from best of 9 to best of 5?
