...but no Nanopreme so far. I guess they're saving the stuff for the 900s. another thought just occurred to me: if the bottom of the frame is thicker, then the weight is skewed towards the bottom of the frame. Which may translate into: "I can't get the real control and feedback for my net shots and drops that I need, and which I get with a top-head-heavy racquet." ...although it might be great for pushes, swats etc...
''if the bottom of the frame is thicker, then the weight is skewed towards the bottom of the frame'' It means it's more like AT900 Pish rather than AT700ish.
Probably. No sense in keeping NS in production when trying to sell NR. Think of it as Yonex trying to upgrade the NS series with NR. Although it may just be a marketing ploy.
Head light really isn't my cup of tea but I really like the paint job for some reason. It's also interesting to see them introduce a whole line up at the same time. Regardless of whether the 700s are mid range or not, usually they only introduce one model first in a new range. Also strange that they would have 'twins' at the mid range.
Yes. Will keep NS9900 for 1 or 2 years as high end till the next NR highest end comes up. Jast as the VT replacing AT line.
btw some of the heady-heavy users at the club already named it NanoGay, yesturday when I showed them the video
Yeah ... and depending on how you look at it no. I mean a BMW 3 series is still a 3 series whether it's E30, 36, 46 or 90. Comes in cycles as does the 5 and 7. Price aside they each have their target group, unless one is arguing Yonex targets all players each time a new model/series is released. NanoRay, Decepticons ... (JP company, can't even come up with a decent anime commercial to complete the promo vid). Overall their focus is on speed as one slide showed from a while back and power through speed if you want to throw "consistency" in there . Last time I checked (back in May?) Dutch Yonex promo material was still Z-Slash . If you don't go to their website (why would you) or end up on a forum like this you would hardly even know there was something new. In the end they still have the best marketing money can't/can buy: word-of-mouth. Must say that RP looks like a throwback Isometric ...
Ofcourse it would be nice for a change to design a racket without a spot on the chart in mind or make it the new Cab20 around which everything else revolves on it with as you so often hammer on player's input (beforehand). Maybe they did for ARC10 as was mentioned/rumoured Gade was heavily involved in the development but based on a complete lack of "advisory staff" involvement before then and after that was probably overestimated a bit . But you can hardly expect them to come up with something like the Carlton Prototypes ... (which I suppose had no player input beforehand either).
New Yonex Racquets! Go to http://www.yonex.com/nanoray/webcatalogue/#page=1 New Nanoray Yonex racquets! If anyone who is gonna buy this new baby, please comment on the racquets! I'm so eager to know whether to get them.
NanoRay is the next Generation of NanoSpeed in terms of technology. Adapting the old Armortec 800 Defense and Armortec 800 Offense style.
