Physical training is needed first before wanting to play an offensive game..:)

Wang Shixian dream to play in London is almost over...because of Li Xuerui. I think she could train herself to restore China's glory in Uber Cup by avenging their loss 2 years ago..The only major event she can look forward to in the Olympic Year.

If she does not get chosen for the OG, it's not "because of Li Xuerui." It's simply because she lost games that one would have expected her to win, and her consistency has taken a beating. It's because many players from other countries apart from China have got her figured out. Why blame others when your own game has stagnated or slipped?

It would be very unfair to say "because of so-and-so" for WSX's decline. WSX has been long overdue in the opinion of most people, to get back to the drawing board and re-evaluate her game, and her mostly one-dimensional approach. Make changes, and come back harder and stronger. She'd do well to remember that aggression is not just about shouting or wearing-down.

And while I'm at it, she needs to modify her posture a bit as well. :D

She lost again to Schenk. If Chen Jia Xiao or Li Luerui beats Schenk tomorrow or Sunday, I feel that WSX's not just is not going to London, her national team career will be over very soon, and she will be the next Zhu Lin and Lu Lan. So sad.

After the Uber Cup, it will be the last time we see Wang Shixian play as she will be given the ultimatum very soon

LYB to her : You have stayed on top for too long and have failed perform consistently against the top opponents..Now it's time for you to move aside..

The End of Wang Shixian's career

I hope she leaves China and starts playing for another, preferably European, country.

Holland has Yao Jie, France has Pi Hongyan. How about Italy?

Her position is safe...for now. Thanks to Chen Xiao Jia's loss today, her defeat yesterday was virtually understandable. She can keep her head at the moment and prepare herself to help China beat Korea later in Wuhan..that is her main priority to place herself in the coaches and LYB's good book. Playing for the Olympics is a long shot now for her since she has shown that she has the worst record against the top non-Chinese opponents

She shouldn't think too far ahead now...

This line-up and match up very likely to happen in the final:

    Wang Yihan vs Bae Younjoo

    Yuyang/Wang Xiaoli vs Hajungeun/Kim minjung

    Wang Shixian vs Sung Jihyun

Zhao Yunlei/TianQing vs Kim Hana/Jung Kyungeun

    Li Xuerui vs Hwang Hyeyoung

Wang Xin has poor record against Sung Jihyun if I am not mistaken...

The last time both met, WX lost terribly in the All England

WYH, WX and LXR played in the quarter and semi-final in Uber Cup. That's a strong indication of what LYB believe the strongest line up is. Unless we see WSX in the final, 99% WSX is not going to London. Poor WSX.

It's a sad outcome for her..but heck who can she blame apart from herself, she never changed/improved her game and played terribly against Linda Fanetri.

The first game at match point, when WSX smashed that half court lift into the net...that sums it. China is not going to send this kind of player to represent them in the Olympics..

It's really annoying, she really doesn't know how to smash......what a shocker for a professional player.

Yes, that's the last chance to prove herself, and she lost the first game to a player ranked #59. Not only is she not going to London, I think her place in the national team will be replaced very soon like Zhu Lin and Lu Lan.

Olympics is clearly out of her reach...Maybe Rio could be her defining moment...that time, Wang Xin will no longer be playing...Wang Yihan is still uncertain depending on her confidence and form..

Li Xuerui will definitely be around to kick arse.

For now, WSX just stays at home and train hard to do well in the World Championship in Guangzhou next year, the same venue she won the Asian Games two years ago

well, if i am correct, LXR only played one match, and WSX also played one match.

how can LYB tell whether LXR or WSX is better if they both only played one match??
