I would say that the most difficult shot for me is the BCCD, because if not performed well, its almost as if giving the point away. Some talk about smashes, my smash is very hard, and I have only recieved it back a few times, because I worked on my smash when i was still a beginner in badminton. I have never been able to do a standstill smash, I started with the jumpsmash as it came quite naturally. It is by far my best move. Lately I've been working on my drop, because i had much success with it beforehand, but lately its not working well. By far my BCCD needs work, I rarely use it, and when I do its always smashed or perfectly placed which makes me lose a point.
Working HHHHHaaarrrdddd!!!!! to master the footwork...and to get that SSSppppeeeeddddd!!!! We all know its about that basis of fitness and Speed..and fighting to and through that pain.. you may not win every rally or every point but after a few hard rallys in a game the levels of fitness is either 6 -7 point either way... ( you know you want to get to that shuttle one more time, pick up the pace one more time, get behind the birdie one more time, Powersmash one more time, but the body wont let you deliver that last killer blow). Dont we all love it!!!!!
LCW? Moves around like greased lightning even though he's only like 5 feet 7. It's up to interpretation though.
Nope.. sometimes he just stops and let the opponent get a point. Actually to be able to master footwork, a person must have unlimited energy and never get tired. No one can master it without that.
Then your definition of "mastery" is flawed and doesn't match the accepted definition in English language. Your definition implies that no one has mastered anything in their whole life. It isn't possible for even a supernatural being.
actually back hand is not hard!!! try using wrist work!!! don't move your arm!! the racket must be behind the shuttle!! good luck
if you wanna master your footwork!! go to han jian training!! its 100% good well it is in malaysia!! he already open a few brunch-subang/setia alam(shah alam) -johor -melaka if your not living anywhere near!! try to get his book!!
I have good cross court net drop...... from leftbaseline to rightnet. use that to tired out my opponent~~~ net plays always kill me in this, either too hi or stuck at the net... =.=
if your nets are really good. you pretty much control the game. i practice my nets as much as possible ~4 times a week. go through a box of 1000 shuttles with my sparring partner. forehand, backhand and straight net & counter net.
too drop you have to cut the shuttle abit!! and you have to take the shuttle at the highest point you can take!! my drop are all behind the line!! the way to hit to the base line and drop try to make it the same!!! meaning the hitting skill is the same your opponent won't be able to read your game
I don't use the backhand clear, as I use around the head. I don't consider a master shot, as if I have to use backhand clear, I am screwed already, so I don't think it matters, right now to me. Eventually I need one, but at this point of my game, I would rather concentrate on the footwork so I can use around the head. I consider the smash to be the most difficult to master as it is the shot the is used to end the rally. There are so many things that make a good smash, angle, placement and power are just some. Deception can be another. You have the place the bird good, otherwise you can be worse off. If your angle isn't good, they can drive it. If your power isn't enough, then they can drive it it. Basically, if one of those 3 keys to a smash is REALLY off, you are screwed.
smash?? lol smash is easy !! how hard a smash also is easy to take!! and you can't always use overhead to take your backhand!! sometimes the ball is too fast you can use overhead!! well if your power isn't enough!! i advise you to play more!! or go training!!! lop for few minutes!! its done!!! but the shuttle must always be infront of you!! your footwork must be good
