Finally, I had some time with the new racket and it felt a tad weird, weird but in a good way though. ^^ The stiffness does not reduce after some hard hits, its head heavy but much faster than the vt80 and still, packs some beef. Actually the used tension was about 24lbs, but it felt like 26-27 with the given Victor string. Guess, it feels harder due to the new string pattern. If this solution can reduce the required string tension and hence make the string least a tad longer, than it would be awesome I figure Made up my mind, 3X MX80 will replace my Vt80
Whew!!! So glad I got the MX80. Just took a look at RKEP and his entire VICTOR line is no longer there. Maybe a glitch or something else? And the Canadian dollar has gone down recently to CD$0.97 to US$1.
we may not see Victor in sites like ebay and taobao anymroe as Victor is stopping stores from doing that. nothing that prevents you from emailing him directly though. *hint* *hint*.
Thanks for the heads up. Do you know if that will extend to other manufacturers (ie. Yonex, RSL, etc) too? Without ebay...how is the product guaranteed? Or is that an acceptable risk since RKEP has a near 100% satisfaction rate.
This is good to know. Luckily we have dealt with a reliable vendor with genuine products and can go to him direct. Thanks for the heads up
i don't know. i think RKEP is trustable. also, just imagine the backlash it will create if someone here in BC get scammed by him? normally when i buy from him i don't go through ebay anyway. paypal has some protection as well since you will be paying with paypal.
It cuts the air significantly faster than the VT80 and this time I don't need to adjust to the flexing shaft that much, but to the faster swing. But since it just was a test sample I ordered from Victor Germany and not my own one, I can not determine, if it actually is the one I was looking for. Well, I'm going to order some MX80 and will see, if it will be able to replace my Arc10. I'll know more in about one or two weeks.
Not really, had it around 4 months. so yh its sorta quick. Wasnt a clash. It was an incredible mishit. Unfortunately it hit the top of a grommet hole and split. :-(
It was, but since my smash improved and my deceptions are far better, I need a racket to accommodate these changes to my game.
I think the MX is much better for both. I think it's head heavier and cuts through the air better, so the only thing the Arc10 would improve would be deception at the net because it's softer. For smashing and overhead deception, the MX is better with sufficiently good technique. Don't think using the Arc10 will turn you into Peter Gade
i am a Panda fan, using T2V2 as my main racket and Tpro back up and ARC10, i was tempted to buy a 2nd hand mx80 4ug2 from a fellow BCer... i haven't tried it yet in an actual game not until tmrw but my initial feeling is that it is more stiffer compared to my rackets mentioned, but swings faster though. getting excited to try it out!
An important thing to always remember is itsn not the racket that makes the player. I feel that as the arc 10 is faster, I have tried both and this is what i found it makes its better for the deceptive an defensive play i normally start with to wear my oppenent down before I begin my smashes and clears to score later on without wearing myself out. I might stick with the mx80. Im still deciding.
