Kam Chung finally beats a senior player

“I have been playing in Division One for the last three years and I have finally beaten a senior player,” he said.

“I was good on the counter attack today. I have learnt a lot from Hendrawan, especially on executing the right game plan.

“I have played against Chong Wei once before, three years ago. Then, I was able to take a game off him in a from tournament at Terengganu. At that time, his coach, Li Mao, had left him and Chong Wei was not at his best.

“It will be good to see how I fare against him this time. I hope to show some improvement in my game against him.”

Badminton: Wei Feng looking for a change in fortunes with determination

“We often came under harsh criticisms and I even contemplated giving up the game. But my coaches (Rashid and Misbun Sidek) feel that I have not explored my full potential yet,” he said.

“I believe that I can make a difference. I lost focus this year. I was trying to make myself an attacking player when my strong point is on endurance.”

Wei Feng hopes that he will make the grade to the squad for the SEA Games in Indonesia in November.

“Except for me, all the other singles players in the back-up team (Tan Chun Seang, Chan Kwong Beng, Mohd Arif Abdul Latif and Liew Daren) have been given a chance to compete in major competitions. Hopefully, I can prove my worth for a place in the squad for the SEA Games,” he said.

MS fail. Old and creaky Hafiz still manage to outlast our backups in RUBBER. Something is wrong with their stamina. :(

All my final hopes on Zul already. If he fails to make the step-up to senior, forget watching MS after LCW, PG, TH and LD retire. :(

Just forget watching MS of Mas in the future after LCW retire. There's plenty of new talent coming up from other countries. Therefore, continue watching MS of the world battling it out:)

Players who are injuries prone are those having poor fitness level, low in their stamina.........

Under tired condition, when their minds wanted to go for a shot, their body cant cope up with, their musles cant provide enough support......injury will occur ! Very simple !

Of course not injury free, but if the player has great fitness level, he/she tend to be more focus and not tired easily and less prone to injuries !

Please dont jump into conclusion so fast ! Its not creative its fact !

I was replying on those injury prone players like some of the back ups......
How often we heard of LYD having injury since his apperance in international tournies......he only got injured recently after playing too many tournaments and tried to wins MD and XD.........thats why he skip the XD recently.....to me, LYD is not a injury prone player........because he has great fitness level and high stamina level too.

The same goes to LCW, yes he claimed he has injuries off and on, does he really has to stop playing in tournaments for a long time? no, because its just some minor injuries, and thats normal for a sportmen. I also dont think LCW is a injury prone players because he has good fitness level and tip top stamina to keep him going in a match.

Injury to a sportmen is normal, but someone who are prone to injuries has something to do with their body condition !

then bam should look for ironman or ironwoman for baddy training :D

those that can run marathon swim the ocean and cycle the mountains should be the right candidates?

simply because they are the fittest!

they will have less injury and thus pay more attention to training thus more more chances of becoming the next lcw? :D

    its not that simple, jason

focus in training has little to do with fitness

and injuries are caused by mainly, overuse of your body:D
