i'm currently doing a documentary of rudy hartono....i have collected some pics of him. if you give me your email. i'd be happy to send it to you. my biggest obstacle atm is trying to find video footages of his games. now thats rare.....email me: kinggodard@hotmail.com
All you have to do is download all his matches from youtube.Use Mozilla and download add-on or screenshot. i assure you the uploader will have no objections.
thanks for the suggestion...what i meant was trying to get the footages from the original broadcast is a nightmare...i've seen footages from youtube but the quality is low for cinema. its quite daunting contacting broadcasting companies like bbc or tv3 and negotiating rights and stuff.
let us know when you finally complete the project. put it on a DVD or sth and allow us to buy it online.

oh yeah?? thats a shame coz i think theres a newsreel from 1967 thomas cup when rudy first played. i'll get my team to check it out. oh we're also inviting punch gunalan to meet rudy in jakarta in late november for the documentary as well!
Last time I visited they said they were planning to dispose off or tender out all the umatic stuff. Maybe they 'll give it to you.
That 1967 newsreel is already on youtube and the quality is OK. It was recorded from TV3 via Filem Negara. The umatic staff covers many Thomas Cup series in 1970,1973,1976 etc and many famous matches of the Liem Swie King era.
