It would take some time before Minatsu is able to catch up with Saina

    .
Currently, Saina Nehwal is ranked 4th (BWF Ranking 2011 Week 22), while Minatsu Mitani is 61st.

I think it would take some time before Minatsu is able to catch up with Saina.

    .
Yes, Minatsu extended Saina to a 3-games match, played in 46 minutes. That's a brave effort from Minatsu.

You know something; Minatsu is following Saina's past tournaments path; to do well at GP tournaments first, before participating in SS tournaments. :):):)

Not sure why, since there were only 4 WS who played. Maybe the association wants them to earn their keeps?

Minatsu tanked in the rubber. There may a question of fitness. But I really like the whipping sound of her racquet. Her arm can move really fast. She's powerful

Minatsu Mitani is now 60th, and Saina Nehwal is 6th

    .
As at Thursday 21-July-2011, Minatsu Mitani has moved up to 60th, while Saina Nehwal dropped down to 6th.

Minatsu is still a long, long way to catch up with Saina.

Yes, Minatsu did look kind of out of sorts in this Canadian Open. I expect her to be under a lot of pressure to perform, after being sidelined, just missing the cut for a number of Super Series tournaments.

I know. The family name at least, ha ha. Google translate says 3 valleys. Quite often, Japanese family names take on things in nature, like mountains (山) and padi fields (田) being some of the more common ones
