LYB/TBY only won the bronze in 1992 OG. FHF/CY won silver in 2008.

The seniors ZYL/TQ are playing like they've learnt a lesson from what's happening in the WS, don't give the juniors a chance to shine too much or they will choke and threaten your position.

WYH vs LXR , The Clash of The Amazons , one to exact revenge, the other to prove her last victory was no fluke. What a drooling, relishing prospect, possibly the match of the tournament,I hope.

Why China cant produce men's doubles specialist? I have been giving a thought about it...

It could be the fact that Mainland chinese guys cant play doubles at all...simply, they are just not talented to play in a doubles field..

Tang Xianhu is clever to spot Fu Haifeng (who has Indonesia ancestry possibly a rare jewel in China) and Cai Yun ( 1 in a billion Chinese male that could play a men's double) and form the best pair in the world.

Unfortunately for the rest, they are just not as talented as Malaysia, South Korea and Indonesia

The other theory behind their failure to excel in MD lies with the coaching staff for MD. Maybe LYB and TBY suck as a MD coaches and reform/restructuring is required urgently.

They understood the plot of the whole tournament anyway...but didn't expect Lin Dan to do a stunt show.. Shocking and understandable.

China WD are strong too. So the argument that China put their best talent in singles are not true.

My view is that in MS, WD, WS, stamina plays a lot of important factor. Talented(like Taufik) but no longer supported by good stamina can not keep up now.

    LCW has good stamina too.

WD a lot of rally and playing time is long.

On the other hand, techniques play equally important in MD and to some extent, XD.

I mean China has nothing to offer other than Fu/Cai in MD...means there's no talent to begin with in MD....

I daresay the winner of this WYH-LXR match is equivalent to the World Champion.

I think this is a set up again, how can Lin dan walk over again , both Du pengyu and chen jin in the final.

China wants them to get more points to qualify for olypimics.

This is making me sick !
