    Email from Lily Gao:

    Hi Ken, thanks I have received the invitation. I would like to go, but I am going to Australian Open tomorrow. I might not be able to make it. I will call Chris if we finish earlier and I am not exhausted. Have a fun! Lily

    2009 CNY Badminton Party Report

    [IMG] 2009 CNY Badminton Party Report

    WOW ... What a BIG surprise !!! ;););) Instead of 29 attending, we think we had 92 (give or take, + or - 10). The singing and dancing were fun and enjoyable. At my table, Kong did an excellent choice of dishes ordered for us to share.

    From Wesley Badminton, Brian was the star singer. :)
    From DTBA Badminton, Lesley was star dancer, cool with Cha Cha Cha and Rock & Roll. :cool:
    From CCC Badminton, Ken was the star singer and dancer. :p
    From Albert Park Badminton, Gary and gang were into red wine. Merle and John brought bottles of them. ;)

    Other great singers should be awarded to:
    Molly
    Carrie
    Punitha
    Eric
    etc...
    It was great for Mai to lead the dancing with me with a Cha Cha Cha number. From then onwards, more dancers were not too shy to follow. However, little Jerry was too busy with his hand held computer games. :D

    I sang the "Badminton Song". For those who asked me for the lyrics, here it is:
    (Sung with the Jingle Bells tune)
    With my racket in my hand,
    I'll be ready for your shot.
    You can hit to anywhere,
    But it'll never hit my court.

    I'll be running to the front,
    I'll be moving to the back.
    I'll be diving to my left or right
    To send your shuttle back.

    (Chorus)
    Drop it here, clear it there,
    Smash it everywhere;
    Oh! what fun it is to keep
    The shuttle in the air.

    Drop it here, clear it there,
    Smash it everywhere;
    Oh! what fun it is to keep
    The shuttle in the air.
    @Copyright 2007 Xmas, Melbourne, Australia ;)

    After the restaurant, we moved next door to Tuscan Bar for coffee. Richard who just returned from China told us the jobs lost there are quite bad atm. Patrick suggested good ways to deal with superannuation funds. :cool:

    Party finished just after midnight. And shall we find another excuse to hold another dinner/dance/singing soon? :D:D:D

    Cheers... chris-ccc
