I think there was a delay in starting the matches. Sometimes they actually overshoot the scheduled time. Hope that's the case today.

this is the first time I am watching a badminton tournament on Astro (NHK). Haha.. normally I can only watch badminton tournament on Astro Super Sports. Meanwhile, I am looking at the TS live score of WSX v. Saina. XD

Ha ha, I got two cable boxes. They have other national tournaments on NHK too. I have watched gymnastics, track and field, swimming, baseball and others.

LOL, I think the rest of the BCers are watching the less exciting match. LD_rules! should be waking up soon. Maybe he will also become a Japanese-crazy fan too :).

Almost 4pm, I think they only broadcast Shiota's match since Shiota is so famous in Japan. :D

OMG! Yours is live? Mine is a recorded match. I'm only in the middle of the second game :(.
Hope they extend the programme. The next show in NHK is dog and cat cafe. Cute, but I think I prefer badminton.

No, yours is NHK World, the international version. All the programmes are in English. Mine is NHK. Most of the shows are in Japanese, so I have a real problem understanding them. I prefer your version, but they don't have it here. If your match has really ended, then I'm really surprised that the Japanese version is lagging behind the rest of world.
