WD winner of the 53th Japan Adults Badminton Championship - Misaki/Ayaka Congratulation to Misaki for winning the WD title of the 53th Japan Adults Badminton Championship. In WS semi final, she lost to Megumi Taruno 15-21, 23-21, 19-21. She nearly bt Megumi and step into the final. Well done Misaki, and all the best to her in JO 2010.
Misaki has her best performance in Womens Singles . Actually, Misaki is still participating in all 3 disciplines, namely; * Womens Singles * Womens Doubles * Mixed Doubles IMHO, Misaki has her best performance in Womens Singles. Therefore, I hope she could specialise in just the WS only in the near future. .
Hey, where did the cute video with the funny-looking pinafore go to? Haven't thanked you for all the photos that you have uploaded. You must have searched the entire web for them. And especially so for the update of the Japanese tournaments. The Japanese websites are so confusing. The alphabets make me dizzy. Didn't see the 3 photos with the blue tracksuits before. She looks cute beyond belief. Seriously, Misaki's performance in this local tournament is remarkable, considering the fact that she had an injury not long before it, and a probable lack of training. I think she has a pretty good insight of how to play the game, where to hit the shuttle and what her opponents weaknesses are. Not to mention a few jaw-dropping shots.
They are already wearing the skyblue tracksuit there?!? Been searching high and low to find out the model number but nothing yet. Untill I just saw these pics I thought it would be in the 2011 catalogue ... As for Misaki's Dutch Open performance ... kind of anonymous really since she only participated in doubles and didn't exactly get very far .
LOL, you're back in Hollanti, after a tour. The Japanese often do not export their sports stuff abroad. You probably need to read the catalog in Japanese and order either online or through an agent. I did that for some sports bags and bowling stuff It is likely that her injury has affected her performance somewhat. Also, she probably needs to play in the international circuit for a year or so
Although she played in all three categories for the local tournament, she only entered for the doubles in the subsequent Super Series one, as well the Dutch Open. I'm sure she knows what she is doing. It is definitely much too early to make such a momentous decision as to specialise as a WS player. To do so is to end the partnership with Takahashi Ayaka, fostered since high school days. She is only in her rookie year for the Super Series tournaments, and time is needed to hone their skills, by playing against strong opposition. And at the tender age of 18, there's plenty of it. Currently, as long as she can move up in the rankings and avoid the playoffs, she will not have to play too many matches. I think the BWF should revamp the system. No one should be made to play three matches per category in one day. The body can probably only tolerate a certain concentration of lactic acid before performance is affected. But some, like Gao Ling, have managed to play in both doubles in a single tournament and even win I think it is possible to play more than one category by alternating WS and WD with different tournaments, since there are more of them now with the increased inflow of funds. Playing more will garner more points to maintain the rankings. As long as the companies are willing to send them abroad. But Japanese companies are financially so strong this year, with hordes of cash There is also the Olympics factor. If the Japanese Badminton Association chooses its players by current ranking, then it will be disadvantageous by alternating the categories in different tournaments, as that will mean playing less tournaments per category as compared to her team mates. And 2012 isn't too far away. I believe Misaki is a clever girl, and will in due course, choose the correct avenue for success. The upcoming China Open will be a crucial test for her, with many talented Chinese as well as a certain Thai. I hope she can hold her own there, against such a strong field. Nevertheless, she should not give herself too much pressure to perform, since she's still so young Below is a video of her not playing badminton
All thee hail, the goddess of cutity speaketh Anyone knows how to lip-read Japanese?
Yes I have the 2010 Japanese catalogue right here and the 2010-11 Fall/Winter in PDF but not in either ... As for which events they enter I would assume is decided by the coaches. Who knows, perhaps they see a doubles player in her ... Uchida and Kurihara both played WS and WD when they were here aged 19ish. Quite impressive to see them play actually
Let us monitor the progress of Misaki Matsutomo . What??? The video is only lasting 2 seconds? As to: No one should be made to play three matches in one day; I think BWF never expected participants nowadays to be still playing in all 3 events, namely; Singles, Doubles and Mixed. .
what about last year Dutch Open? Hehe... she lost to Yao Jie in the WS final (forced YJ into rubber game) and won the WD title.
hey, she is cute in this video! I realized that this video is from SuperSport. Which tournament they were watching at? She looks so tiny sit between Sato san and Goto san.
