I have that concern as well. Even though the material says it's non-marking, a lot of court attendants won't want to take that chance. Then, if uninformed users (i.e. really casual users), see one person using black soles, they automatically think their own shoes would be OK.

    Something I found today.

More colour variations of BT feather and the soles are not black.

This is a really cheap price. Is yours one of the ones in picture I posted? Or is it the older model.

Are you saying the yellow one doesn't have a black sole anymore? Mine have a black sole.

The yellow one still has black soles. The red version, white with black trim, white with blue trim have the rubber coloured soles

It is not inside the pictures. It should be 2013 model since the shop just recently put it up on shelves.

Mine is mainly black with yellow adidas stripes on the side. Heel stabilizer is written in black. Heel area is highlighted with white color. Shoes soles are brownish with black marks in the middle.

Mine looks like the upper red one. Only the colour is different. I am sure it is not bt boom. I was wrong. This must mean mine is 2012 model. :(

I will post the pictures tomorrow. Camera is not with me now.

Yes, it is an indoor model [IMG].

;) You are actually the first to post some irl pics of the other colours [IMG]. I think colour selection is still limited to one or two in most countries in the actual stores (but of course Kwun previewed the blue one with natural colour sole and Axelsen has been using the red one)

This is the model j4ckie has and Shintaro Ikeda (but older colour) was using but Ikeda now also uses the new model

I had another session with the shoes yesterday. It took awhile but i finally wore it to court. It felt like futsal shoes. I did not feel like i was wearing badminton shoes at all. The shoes soles felt rigid compare to yonex's. It felt hard to stand on balls of feet. Heel cut was too low. I felt the shoes might slide off my feet.

That is my opinion anyway. I feel yonex ultima plus shoes is more comfortable for badminton. I will wear adidas shoes a few more times to confirm these conclusions. I might need to spend more on another pair.

Has anyone tried both the old Adidas BT Feather Elite's and the newly styled badminton specific version? Is it just a styling difference or are the shoes actually different with differing cushioning etc?

I've got myself the BT Feather's in yellow and love them.

They are really well made and did not require any wearing in, they were comfortable from the get-go. I find them to be very stable and rigid which I think is a good thing. Others may not like the rigidity but I feel it adds stability in movements. The shoes weigh roughly the same as my previous SHB86ltd's but do not feel as clunky or clumsy as those.

The heel area has this very grippy material which helps keep your foot in place despite being a slightly lower cut. The cushioning is much better than previous shoes I've had and really does give you proper forefoot and rear foot support.

Overall, I am very pleased with the shoes and would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone. Price may be a stumbling block but if you're willing to pay for Yonex or Victor shoes, I'd suggest you give these a go instead.

If you want any further detailed information about the shoes, please just ask.
