Hmm, sounds tempting to try. Dink, how is the X60 compared to the prototype strings that coolact was offering ? You've tried it, haven't you ?
The X60 and X62 are different from the string you tested. I'll send you one of each. The current prototypes are more refined.
I'm guessing 0.69 and 0.71mm untensioned. X60 is the thicker version and it's already a winner. I'm going to string X62 now and probably be extremely impressed. I just hope it holds up durability-wise.
I question about the 0.73mm. For someone dink so light like you, since the string do not break, all the force and energy transfer to the racquet and no wonder you break racquet left and right.
I just compared the strings again, I believe it 0.71mm and 0.69mm untensioned. Anyway, I'm dropping off at the PO for you now...what great Panda service.
Good as in repulsion, tension holding, control, durability, ? which one ? Or is it just better in all aspects ? Oh man.. if that's so, I'd love to try it too, at 28*30.8lbs.. ( i increase tension by 2 lbs each time. )
In just about all aspects. The Coolact string is good to excellent (need more testing), maybe even a top rated string. But, the new Ashaway string is just a better, definitely a candidiate for one of the top rated strings. Again, more testing is needed to draw any conclusions.
wait what? ashaway made a string, and it holds tension really well? Im liking the sound of that (considering the tension-holding capability's of rall21, powerguts, microlegend, micropower is best, but no bg80) 0.71mm you say? heh, shame I still have 4 reels of MP...and 3 ML, and some pg...darn
Update: used X60 a bit more. The best way to describe it is, it feels like a stiffer, grippier, less tension losing version of MP...and that's a great thing!
No Sir, I don't have a fetish for abusing my rackets and strings with ridiculous tension. I tested them at 27-28lbs. 28lbs. max on my Cab 30s. ECP of course.
which one is more POWERFUL ? Can some one put them in order according to POWER: (which one is more powerful?) A. Ashaway X1760 B. NGB98 C. BG66 D. ML0.69mm E. MP0.7mm F. PG66N G. Coolact's prototype is this correct: G > B > A > F > C > D > E ?
For me BG66, ML, MP, NBG98 and CoolAct's string are all top performing strings. I cannot say one is significantly more powerful than another. It's very hard to quantify that. But if I have to give my preference, I prefer BG66 and MP because they feel best. I'm still testing ML because I've really never used it at higher tension but it feels great so far. PG66N, X60 and X62 are lesser performing than the above. The key to X62 is the fact that you string it at 3-4lbs. lower tension to get the same effect and minimal tension loss; meaning, if you play 25lbs., you string X62 at 21-22lbs. and it will give you the same feel and performance as 25lbs. Stringing lower increases string life as well as puts less stress on your racket. X60 is designed for minimal tension loss and durability while still retaining very good performance.
