Actually NGY-95 will do fine, just add two extra pounds to compensate for the spongey feeling.

Comparing high end Arcsaber, Armortec and Nanospeed

Tested Arc10 yesterday again and my AT900P. The NS9900 is definitely superior in speed, defense and backhands. The power maybe less than AT900P but equal or greater than Arc10.

    All 3UG5.

just bought ns9900 2 days ago. tested yesterday for about 10minutes, hence nothing much i could say at the moment. but it is indeed swing faster than my other rackets (arc10 and ktour) .. first time for my playing with head-light (or is it??)

have mine strung @ 27x29 with bg66. afraid to play with it for double games yesterday, since i'm not really familiar with my partner. it happenned in the past, where my newbie partner 'brush' my arc10 with his 10 yrs racket ... perggghhh !! very scarry moment ..

hopefully will have more time .. before i could share my experience here .. :)

today had a 1.5hr session with ns9900 .. what i really like about this racket is; it feels light but solid, have to agree with ants .. the maneuverability is very good. you can swing it faster (compare to my arc10 and ktour ..) ..

so the question is .. how about the power for smash? well .. in term of better power, i guess arc slightly better. but with ns9900 the power is easily accesssible .. eventhough is not as great as arc10 .. (so far !!).

the important thing for me is .. with ns9900, i can generate better rackethead speed .. :)

The strings on my ns9900 snapped yesterday, after about 3 weeks. Damn good strings bg66 sharp. Strung at 27 lbs. But it's gonna be expensive if i keep on using this. Durability is really bad.

I'm not such a hard smasher :p still learning the basics.
Normally the strings would last at least 1 month +.
But it's not like the evil empire wasn't frank to us. Durability is 0 for bg6 sharp. Says so at the back of the plastic bag holding the string.

Got my ns9.9k today and strung it NGB 98 at 26lbs. Played with it for about 1 hours...for the 1st match.. got alot of miss hit and couldn't smash well.. the thing getting better in 2nd match and the smashing is good. still need more time to get used of it as still having some miss hits during the game...

Just finished stringing my new ns9900 with BG80 at 28/30 #s(1 string)...feels light and fast with the swings. Will be playing with it tonight. Have been using arc10 which feels more solid.

I bought mine (3UG5) strung with Nanogy 98 (24lb) last weekend and had played with it for 2 games.

Good control due to its light/balance weight. It is a keeper!

Played with the ns9900 last night for 2.5 hours. Great for pickups on smashes but needed a lot of effort smashing. Great smashes, though, when focused. Still need more time to decide whether to keep it. At the moment, the arc10's still top on my list.

I played with my nanospeed 9.9k for two hours and can give short review
In the first 15 minutes you get slot of mis hits however after this your unstoppable great control when you hit a shot for example I was playing singles and played a backhand crosscourt net shot I thought it was going miles out however landed on the line this wasn't a fluke as I did this many a time
You get a great angle when you smash an you get aprox the same amour of power
Drops are simple even if your drops are not very good at drops you have good control
The best thing about this racquet is the amount of control you get I can't fault this racquet so far!
I bought it for £134 at the cockburn centre it Is strung with BG65tis at 23lbs but I shall change next month to nanogy 95

I forgot to give you my grades

    Power: 9
    Control: 10
    Net play: 9.5
    Clears: 9
    Overall Smashes: 9
    Manouverability:9.5

What I mean by overall smashed is taking into account angle + power + control

Please don't string with NGY95, as it'll be spongy after a week or so. I restrung my arc10 after 2 weeks of NGY95 with BG80 and the great sound is still there even the tension has dropped....so much better.

Need some comments from NS9900 users.

Would changing to a hard feel string, say BG-65Ti helps to improve to hit the shuttle further ?

I'm not a hard hitter, but when I use my Armortec 700 strung with BG-65Ti, I could hit further with same strength.

    Thanks in advance.

    1) BG65ti is not a hard string. It is for hard hitter because it is thicker and has Ti coating. In fact, it is soft and tension drop fast.
    2) AT700 is head heavy. By using a thicker and heavier string, it makes head even heavier.
