Oh, I see. Thanks for the info.
Congrats for the happy new father then! :)
What did he do after the loss? Rushed to the hospital?

Hope the little lady will grow healthy!

Unlike Indonesia, China and England (and Denmark), Malaysia has traditionally been weak in Mixed Doubles. The current squad is no exception.

It's a surprise then that the BAM has no special focus on building a couple of XD teams for 2012.

They already have a coach specially in charge of XD = Jeremy Gan. The LKW/WPT, KKK/NHL, TWK/WKW, Razif/CSC combo are being the focus for 2012. Comparatively, now there is no special WD dept, the MD & WD train together.

Msia's WJC & AJC champs in 2007 was from XD (TWK/WKW, LWK/NHL) not other dept, that speaks about potential for future. It was Jeremy Gan that helped the youngsters clinch the title.

And Rexy also prefer the players to focus XD rather than WD in terms of chances to win titles. After Rexy become chief doubles, he put more emphasis on XD.

Errrrr, YKB, James Chua, are not in the "junior" category for a long time already. KBH & Hafiz are senior players, no more "junior".
James chua left ages ago, also K. Yogendran in 2007. YKB left after OG 2008.

If I'm not mistaken, they've been in 'the future' for some time now.
It doesn't look like they've been on a winning spree so far.

A junior + junior combination doesn't seem to be working anywhere.
However, an experienced senior + junior combo seems to be the norm.

Does Malaysia presently have a pair like that in its sights? :)

Thought i already answered that in the last paragraph. That was why the 2007 WJC Lim Khim Wah & Ng Hui Lin were split -> KKK/NHL, Lim Khim Wah/Wong Pei Tty, these 2 will be the top 2 XD pairs for Msia, since after OG 2008 they have been paired.

Hoon Thien How/Chin Ee Hui combo isnt working very well. MO 2009 , they revamped the XD pair-ups again, except for KKK/NHL, LKW/WPT ;):D

Would you bet on Koo Kien Keat & Ng Hui Lin as a frontline pair?
eagle, you must be either joking or recklessly optimistic ;)

I didnt say i bet or say that they will top XD pair in the world - for Msia 'uncle' Oldhand, Msia. No doubt, KKK/WPT is the most successful Msia combo of current players but the coaches decided to pair senior + junior.

of senior + junior combo, the ones groomed = KKK/NHL, LKW/WPT - seems this 2 pairs are being groomed for 2010 AG. The 3rd senior + junior = CEH/Hoon TH. AND, these new pairs just joined up AFTER OG, a few short months ago.

Of the 3, the best International results so far = KKK/NHL. Local scene -> they have won 2 local circuits & in the finals of the current National GP. If they win again, then thus far, they're best XD for Msia. Although LKW/WPT didnt feature in the 3 local tourneys, personally i think KKK/NHL can win over LKW/WPT.
Take note: KKK/WPT combo is even better BUT is not the permanent pairing considred, so.....

Junior + junior, all inconsistent so far, they havent found a formidable combo. With new experimental pair-ups in MO 2009, we see if can work but mostly will be junior + junior.

You see for yourself in future tournaments, which pairs are given emphasis, quite obvious ;):p

    Ooops, we are getting Off-topic.
