A good result for Wisnu Yuli Prasetyo (WR 62) as he beat Andre Kurniawan Tedjono (WR 52) 21-19, 21-14.

If Mutiara fields him in MS1 in all 4 group matches (tonight was his first match), he will face:
Jaya Raya Suryanaga - Sony Dwi Kuncoro (WR 4)
Unisys Badminton Club - Takuma Euda (WR 23)
Tangkas Specs - Nguyen Tien Minh (WR 8)

This will be a very good experience for young Wisnu as he continues to climb up the ranking table this year.

Ditto for Riyanto Subagja and Shesar Hiren Rhustavito of PB Djarum. I hope these Pratama players can step up a little this year.

Meanwhile, it's the third time Pia Zebadiah Bernadeth/Rizki Amelia Pradipta lost to Ayaka Takahasi/Misaki Matsutomo. The 2 previous losses were:
    Indonesia Open GPG 2012 SF - 14-21, 19-21
    Denmark Open SSP 2012 R32 - 11-21, 21-15, 19-21

Likewise, other INA WD pairs also had not beaten this Japanese pair before:

They are becoming the new jinx (replacing Suetsuna/Maeda) for INA WD pair!

So this has been fun tournament so far

Apart from Chn, Denmark full team, this is like mini SS event

Who wouldve thought LCW lost to Daren and Porntip to TJY

Also Korean and Japan almost put their A team

Bae Seng hee and Satoko are back come out from nowhere

LHI and Schenk must have been fun addition to spectators

Berry Angriawan/Afiat Yuris Wirawan beat Ricky Karanda Suwardi/Hardianto 15-21, 21-18, 21-12. Djarum eventually wins a group match.

However, prospect of a SF placing still looks dim as they have to beat Tangkas Specs tomorrow. With Nguyen Tien Minh, Simon Santoso and Alamsyah facing Andre Kurniawan Tedjono, Riyanto Subagja, and Shesar Hiren Rhustavito respectively,Tangkas definitely holds the advantage.
