i can attest to that. the ZM62 PT silver/platinum is good stuff. not any more durable than the regular ZM62. but more explosive. too bad it won't be in this review as it is not in retail...
just received my 200m spool of bg66 um from stringersworld.co.uk came to 91$cad, after exchange/shipping and did not end up paying any duty. come to about 4.5 a set . cory
the battle continues. strung both of my ARC10 just now. one with BG66Maxima@25lbs. the other with BG66Ultimax@25lbs. will do some A/B testing tomorrow at the gym.
I have no idea why JP specs strings are better. I have personally played both the JP spec and the CH spec of the NBG98 and personally can't tell the difference. Speaking of which, i love the NBG98. It packs loads of power and it's quite durable. I have used my set for 2 weeks without significant wear. However, i have not tried the other strings listed. I have a reel of BG66UM on order so i should be trying that shortly.
My racket as strung with NBG 98 @ 27 lbs and I love this tension, it is snapped now and I want to try the BG66 UM. But the BG66 UM is 0.01mm thinner than NBG 98 (in description) so my question, is the play characteristic (size of sweet spot, repulsion, impact feeling etc...) of BG66 UM @27 lbs comparable with the NBG 98 @ 27 lbs? Or should I go down to 26 lbs?
Hi Kwun, Is there any update concerning the results of this comparison / battle ? really appreciate your responses and comments for both strings sir. Thanks.
forget to say, i tested all string with arc10, all same tension 25lbs, and found nbg98 superior in almost every aspect (for sound bg 66um better)
currently I string my racket with BG 66 Maxima @26x26 Lbs / 2 Knots. Will try NBG98 @26x26 Lbs / 2 Knots in the future. (I note that you prefer 25 Lbs from FTB)
