mostly are flat 88 grams with string and original grip on. the balance i probably had described earlier. the shiden/ougi's in the lower range of 281-283 the issen is at abt 297 or so, even higher if i didnt have an overgrip on. the issen plays really nicely, it is extremely aerodynamic, and it feels almost like an even balanced racquet although it is head heavy. as i'm currently back to being obsessed with truly head heavy racquet, i had to move on from the issen. point to note, the repulsion on most of the ryoga series racquets are excellent, string one with a repulsive string at 25-26 lbs and get ready for the shuttle to spring off the stringbed effortlessly!
Okay, well, the Issen sounds like a nice spec for me then. Of course that's the only Ryoga model they don't have in the shop, but I might ask them to get one in for me to take a look at.
i am looking for gosen racket. which 1 is the best racket for me? am looking for a fast racket , but head heavy (lighter than VT80 - so that have power when smash) and all round. is issen suitable? or shiden/ougi /Tenbu. mostly playing double both in attacking and defending. thanks
btw...forget to say that i am currently using ARC11TH (light and fast but no power) and VT80. (power in smashing but head heavy )
Dear Gosen fans... hold your horses... new colour for the Ryoga series is coming out.. Ouji is replace by another model. besides the new colour, it seem that they are adding some weight on the frame.
haha... i do not know when... im aiming for tenryu too... this racket look so beautiful till i dare not want to string it..
it seem like it is going to launch at china...tenryu like ouji will be limited. tenryu means sky dragon.. ouji means prince issen means flash.. tenbu means celestial shiden means purple thunder flash..
Hmmm .... my first gen Tenbu arrived last night. BP at 290. On BG66 Maxima. I removed the original grip, and wrap with a 0.3mm thin Wilson overgrip, followed by a Kimony KGT109 overgrip. BP still at 290. Point is, on dry swing, didn't feel like a head light racquet ..... lol ...
and i got the 1st gen issen whole racket made in japan right? what about 2nd gen????? also made in jap? anyone knows?
I can't find any marking on the 1st gen ISSEN that say it is "Made in Japan". Color wise, it is bright red.
