I have been using Proace Ti Dream for 6 months and adapting to it well. Agreed that the swing is fast, the repulsion is good but I have no problem controlling it due to its lightness. I was told Yonex Ti-7 have almost equivalent feel & light, like the Proace Ti series. The only difference is definitely the price. Tried a head heavy MP77, smashes generated are powerful, send baseline to baseline with less effort but i could not control it when defending and when making touch shots. Choice of racket that suit a player is a matter of personal preference.
hi Hamz so have you tried the platinum dream yet, look real cool. btw how much does it cost for ti dream in Malaysia.
ti dream is retailing at 299 and ti 11 is retaling at 229. shop around n u can get it for half that price. try out etakoh at pertama shopping centre i got both of them at half the retail price!
a shop down at bra basah singapore claimed that the proace racket in Malaysia are of lower grade that's why they are much cheaper, what do you proace owners think?
Sales pitch, maybe. Buy in my shop rather than across the causeway lah.... Something like Yonex JP versus Yonex CH are of diferent grade/quality ? Or fake/clone Yonex versus original Yonex ? Now Proace have just join the bandwagon !!!
erm.....maybe ti 6 or ti 9 but they.re not slim and the rest of the ti series are iso shape.ti 10 is slim but iso head. so far i havent seen any racket that fits ur description.
i heard pro ace is owned by a malaysian or a malaysian company.before that all pro ace rackets that were manufactured resembled carlton rackets....UK connection? if was only after being taken over by the malaysian did pro ace started to take off. one time it was even the supplier to badminton academy of malaysia now taken over by gosen. currently a few of the malaysian national players still use pro ace rackets but they have to cover up the cone have the big G on their string. even choon hann used to use pro ace 55..... i think proace rackets are cheaper here bcoz we have a bigger badminton playing population.....the shops may have a lower margin by selling it cheaper but they'll definitely make up for it in higher turnover.
ok thanks how is the balance of the ti6 & ti9? (in mm) and are they long rackets? how much are they selling it? thanks again
PROACE RULES.... I havent known about Proace racquet until I went back to Vietnam last summer.... Those racquets are very durable and cheap (only 60 cad) and the tension is up to 27lbs ( I havent tried that yet )... I reccommand the proace sweetspot 950 (red color, my favorite)... the racquet is lighter compare to yonex mp77 and ti 7 long, about 85 gr ( I didnt weigh it though ), fast swing, and flexible --> good smash, defense..... I really recommand it for allround player. One of my friend used the Proace sweetspot 1000.. this racquet is even lighter than the sweetspot 950.. preferable for defensive player..... and the color is blue --> so girly ..... thats y i didnt get the sweetspot 950 instead lol
sweetspot 950 definately is a defensive racquet.... infact all the sweetspot series suppose to be defensive racquet.... anyone tried Apacs Power concept? clones of yonex MP series

Im also using Genji AHEAD series 360 Nickel Graphite Racket ..... its a very good racket too.... and very light... (lighter than my proace) check it at : http://store.yahoo.com/ebadminton/airpower800s.html
hmm... hayisan... well actually we cannot judge whether it's a good racquet or not from the weight of it...... we judge it by the performance aspect
actually i have no idea wats d balance of ti 6 n ti 9 didan really get to look at them closely or measure them. and they're not long rackets.....onli ti 11 is long. ti 6 is 169 n ti 9 is 229 but u can get it cheaper if u shop around!
Actually I tried one for the first time last weekend (which one exactly I can't remember) but two things, damn heavy (possibly more head heavy than MP100 2U) and no feel. I attribute the no feel thing to the really wide shaft, sure theorectically you can make the shaft wide therefore getting lots of strength for a really thin wall thickness, thus getting a really light shaft, but every wide shafted racquet I've ever used has felt heavily damped and I haven't liked it. The BG65 at about 21 lbs probably didn't help either. Power was good, control decent (except for the lack of feel which made making minor adjustments difficult), good racquet for the money but just not my thing.
Well i have not tried proace rackets before. Maybe i will when i get a free model sample. But i do recomend the Proace Shuttles the AT-85! they are durable and consistent flight pattern. Much better than other well known brands.
I'm thinking to buy Pro Ace Sweetspot series or the Ti Dream, i think both are about the same price? I've seen Platinum Dream, is it the same as Ti Dream?
The Proace sweetspot 5000 is already released. The frame profile of the Plat Dream is different from Ti Dream. I think the weight of the Plat Dream is 3u and the Ti Dream is 4u.
