    from the article
    林丹虽然是世界第一,但是在亚运会上却从未得到过金牌,而这次他终于实现了大满贯的梦想。
eventhough lin dan is the world number one,but he didnt get the ms gold medal in AG before.
finally,he won it in this edition.
hopefully it wont become the topic of debate (again)

The Guangzhou Asian Games MVP was selected by world media through voting. From November 22 to 25, over 2,000 accredited media staff cast their votes at the Main Press Centre of the Guangzhou Asian Games Town. Five athletes with the most votes became the candidates, including Chinese Badminton player Lin Dan, hurdler Liu Xiang and swimmer Sun Yang and Tang Yi as well as Korean swimmer Park Taehwan. Finally Lin Dan received the largest number of votes. The result has been confirmed by a selection committee comprising representatives of the OCA, GAGOC, media, retired athletes and Samsung.

i think that the voters were not over 6500,,, just use this official Asian Games website as the more credible source:cool:

I just read about it. A big recognition for badminton. This is huge news and I hope BWF takes advantage of this publicity to further the game. Congrats to the man that knows when to peak when it counts.

LD really deserved it. Though only win 2 gold medal but his gold completed all of his achievement that probably hard to achieved by any athlete soon. And this is a good advertise for badminton cause usually most of the time the winner come from swimming or athletics.

Why did Lin Dan deserve the award? Other than the obvious–completing his own cabinet of major titles–he competed against the best in the world in his sport (save for PG and maybe JOJ, but they are considered 2nd tier players anyway). He narrowly overcame a spirited PSH in the team competition and beat LCW to secure the MS title. He was expected to win and he did not disappoint.

Lin Dan is truely the hero of the Asia games, capturing the only major title which was missing in his trophy cabinet. He played superbly against Chong Wei and deserves to win the gold.. He made Chong Wei look like a World No. 3 or 4 again. I believe the game was fun to watch and it was one of my favourite encounters between Lin Dan and Chong Wei. I hope you didnt miss the game, however if you did, you can watch the finals here la..
However saying this, I do hope to see Lin Dan play more tournaments as I dont see Chong Wei having any challenge in the Super Series.

lin dan awarded mvp means more £€¥$....

as the word 'valuable' always follows money.

anyway lin dan already the richest player on earth

before his final collection of the ag gold.

after getting this mvp, i think he just give his sponsors more headaches,

his price automatically goes up while many new one lining up. lol
