What the hell is wrong with Hayom. he's easily ruined by Chen Long, ot of prediction.
Probably he can't stand out to be the only hope for INA MS in such a big tourney.. Hopefully he can do much better in Japan.
Hayom was ruined and so my BS team ...hiks 3x

I thought it would go down to a rubber, not 10-21; 12-21...

When TH burst into badminton scene as did LD, both are very young and exudes the kind of confidence that champions have and their impact in the sport were felt right away, both are winners and prodigy of the sport. Rumba is what, 20+ yrs old and still a 'prospect', that proves it is so difficult to find another TH in INA.

Even Sony and Simon burst before their 20, although not as big as TH did.
So, Hayom to replace TH? Most probably not.
Hayom to backup before new talent emerge? Let'see

If you watch TH play PG in AE99, the speed in the 2 players are incredible. I saw TH in WC05, that was a complete player, every part of his game was at the top. SDK and SS are good players, concur with you. TH in his late 20s is still the #1 in INA, and that tells you it is not that easy to find another one, even in a badminton power nation as INA. You can say the same for LD, LCW and PG too. Unless things change in a hurry, after these 4 fellas retire, the next competition for WC is sure looking easier.

after LCW , TH and PG retire the chance of china winning WC higher than it ever was...hopefully other young MS is matured enought to give proper challenge to china by then...
expecting kenichi tago , victor axelsen and other young player to rise and take the center stage in the future

    Agree.
Sorry to say, that I have to conclude (at least for me), that this thread or its title is no longer applicable.
INA need better than Hayom to say that INA have rising star.
Even Hayom most probably will not be as good as Sony and Simon, let alone TH.
And this become worse considering current trends that showed young INA players didn't improve after recruited to Pelatnas.

IMHO, KT is a flash in the pan, his defense is terrible. Once upon a time, LCW is not that good, but since LCW improves, make that excels, in defense and lately his smash (it kills BCL in JO10), that makes him a top 1-2 player. As for VA, where is he? After PG, DEN is in trouble, same goes for LCW when MAS has to still rely on HH (on dear) and WCH, KOR has the lone PSH and has to bring back LHI, INA still the trio. Chris thread on CHN CBL, that will produce even more talents, just a few weeks ago, here came along a Chou guy who beat the current WC, now, how many Chous, Zhangs, Chens, and what nots are in CHN, scary.

I have posted before, that CHN will rule badminton esp in MS and WS, the way CHN dominate table tennis that the real competition is within the chinese team...just look at who beat WX in JO10, not someone from the rest of the world. Get used to it.

Hayom into the SF of INA GP. If he wins it, he may meet TH in the final. And that will be the old vs new of INA MS

Prince Hayom will have a 40% chance of winning against King Taufik this week... Maybe next year his chances will be 50%... ;)
