Porky: Ok, will do so shortly... hopefully it will alleviate my feeling of missinga the SW. *wink wink* Clawhammers: Dun hv the other 2 racquets in the MX family, but I measured its widest point (@ 10th H string from the bottom) with my trusty free Ikea tape, and it reads 19.9cm. HTH...
Had a 3hr session with it... feels similar to my VT70 (re-strung at the same time/string/tension), in terms of feel, static HH-ness, general play. But it seems to me that it's faster, and and thus possibly, more manoeuvrable esp. for doubles play. Was mis-timing a bit initially... hitting the frame etc, but got used to it very soon after. Comparing to the MX70 I had for a while some months back, it feels similar but more whippy and easier to access its power due to its more forgiving mid-flex shaft; great for non-advanced players . Verdict: I'm loving it!
Thanks, axl886 for your review. I'm anxiously waiting to see if there are going to have more reviews up soon cos I'm torn between getting a MX60 or SW30. I've used MX70 & MX80 before but SW30 specs is very exciting too... Any other bros having MX60 could do a review pls?
Thanks for your review Axl886 I guess if you have to choose between Victor MX-60 vs. Yonex VT70, then you'd declare MX-60 as the winner in terms of manoeuvrability and swiftness. How about in terms of handling/control and power output then ?
I have now had a chance to use my MX60 more and I am really starting to like it. i seemed to be able to generate slightly more power with it than i can with my MX70. Saying that i often prefer flexible shafts. in terms of defence it is fairly similar to the MX70. At the moment i am still preferring the 70 in fast flat exchanges but this may change with time. They are both great rackets though.
Power output is similar. As for handling/control, my (racquet) butt is not sensitive enough to tell any differences.
I think basically the weight out MX60(3UG5 = 88g) is heavier than MX70(3UG5 = 85g) - frame only..... Come with flexible shaft but head heavy and this racket maybe will suit for hard hitters.....
MX60 is more flexy than MX70 yet you're saying it's more suited for hard(er) hitters... hmm. Doesn't it go against the conventional wisdom of: better for powerful players to exploit stiffer racquets?
depend on player itself. but if you make survey more hard hitter players nowaday use flexy shaft than stiff shaft.
badminton nowaday fast and furius, game style and strategy changing.. racket also must change lor.. so up to u whether change or not..lol
