If you were at court side observing his body language, you will know he was not having fun playing Simon. LD was anxious, anxious, anxious!
All that fun thing is just PR talk and indirect self compliment. LD s saying I could have finished Simon faster but I want my fans to enjoy my badminton extra time.

I follow LD long enough to see if he's the same player as before or not. In this matter, result comes second.

Did anyone at SG who's watching LD matches see if LD rackets have the buttom cap on or off?

Every single time Lin Dan gets into a rubber game, there will be people saying time is running out. Last year's AE? Oh no, Lin Dan is going downhill, bla bla bla but then he became AG champion.

Wrong, I am not saying that. I am a LCW fan, but I do get very sick of people saying that LD is going downhill just because he got dragged into a rubber game. Similarly, I also hate the saying that LD will win whenever he is motivated. Just enjoy the LCW and LD battles!

Meanwhile in the England v Sri Lanka match... ;):)

I caught a glimpse of the handle bottom on tv just now and I can see the reflective plastic plate bottom instead of the clear wooden centre. May have to watch it clearly again on downloaded media to be sure.

Yap I got the same feeling that there are always people here like to play god and hurry to make a judgement day statement whenever LD or LCW had a relatively bad day....

Before OG08, LD was finished; after OG08 it was LCW finished; plus those above, things like that....

There must be a winner and a loser in a match, whoever lost in one or two matches is normal in sports. I thought those who rush for conclusion really don't know sports at all... Change of playing style is another form of player's self-evolution and improvement. That makes you more un-predictable...

We should spend more time to appreciate their badminton, not indulging in delivering judgements...

If you remember what LD did in the year right before OG08, you would suspect LD is not concern about how many titles he must win, but only on 2 things:

    1. Got enough points to secure a seat in coming OG; and
    2. Train himself up to peak only at the OG, plus further optimize his play style to reach such peak.

And maybe a 3rd thing if there is a high order: to assist teammates to secure maximum OG entries.

Therefore guess LD is not that eager to beat LCW before OG12, unless in team events...

I have seen LD up and down in the past, and I dont want to argue with all of you who think LD is not in decline so I better not making more comment beside: lets find out, I bet LD wont win next year OG, and as long as LCW stand on his way unfortunately LD will go back empty handed.

If they meet. I observe LD's trend didnt change much even with all the talk about his change of style.

He has lost his 'pick-up' :D

Struggling with peter in first set and lost to Simon 14-21 also first set :D

This is the sign of his change of style I suppose

or anybody can give a good explanation ???
