    I disagree.
    You already see the amount of spam we get on the forums.

    What would an open source chat leave us open to?
    Hackers, key loggers, trojans, bots etc etc etc.

    I suggest sticking with msn ;)
    at least we aren't sucking up Kwan's bandwidth with it. :D

    Actually there are very effecient ways to prevent spamming and such on chats like irc. Quakenet alone has about 250 000 users, I don't think they'd use irc if they felt the same way as you do. I think setting up a channel into some network would be a good idea.

    What/Who is Kwan anyway?
